They also allow you tranfer more pressure to the edge and give the board a cleaner flex under foot. One great thing is that they bolt right to your board through you binding screws all you need to do is get longer ones. This allows you to move them from board to board. No need to drip into the board like hengl plates. Made out of aluminum with cork/rubber strips under the forks. check them out at www.gerab.it. $400US for one pair.
