I just think a society that thinks we need 3 times as many lawyers as doctors is missing the point. As for manufacturing jobs, as soon as Chinese and Indian wages rise and American wages fall, we'll get those jobs back. I remember when junk was stamped "Made in Japan". Now it's stamped "Hecho en Mexico" but the thought is still the same. Jobs migrate to the countries that have a cheap labor force. Look at 50 years of conservative politics, labor busting and NAFTA and you'll see our future. BTW, I know NAFTA was signed into law under Clinton, but he made a decidedly right turn while in office, despite what Rush would have you believe.
