Mike T
Same here in OR... we got about 8" in the past few days and it's 13 degrees at the base right now - looks like mid-winter hero groomers for the first few hours of the day! Leaving in 15 minutes

Gecko
meanwhile, i'm surfing in a 3/2 wetsuit. your brave...or I'm spoiled, there is no way I'd get in the water up here before august and even then it would have to be really good. I'm skating my curb in the driveway.
boostertwo
The coverage at the Basin is very good, with 8 inches of fresh powder on top of frozen granular. It is still snowing. Pali closed for the season this week, and the East Wall has been closed as well. Weekend crowds extend the lift lines out of the maze on Exo and Lenawee. No one here midweek, except for some race training and hardcore locals. It's worth a trip if you're in the area. Radial
not to rub it in, but, Saturday was the single best day I have had in the last two years. I was at Timberline on Mt. Hood with bright sun about 29 degrees perfect light groom and no people. The Palmer lift was open with about 6 people total. Just awesome riding. I have been riding the Donek Blade all spring and I am pretty sure I will never go back to the skinny boards. Just so much more power and better feel with the lower stance. I think I said this last year but here goes again. Mt. Hood is about an hour east of the Portland airport and IS OPEN ALL SUMMER. It gets crowded with racer training in June and early July but is still a great summer option. Hoodriver is about an hour away with great kite boarding and windsurfing. Much better than putting the boards away for six or seven months......
boostertwo
Oops. Pali and East Wall are open again, and will be on a day-to-day basis. Great coverage and even better riding!
