Guest 4white
Looking into buying a split board, will be riding with plates, looking for feedback of what is good and what isn't? Any info is appreciated. Thanks Rich
Jon Dahl
but can only say good things about their kits. Boards are another matter 'cause I've only cut up my own. I'm curious about the 178 swallowtail myself. It looks like the answer to all around riding, short enough for a little tree riding and enough float for pow. Guest Randy S.
I can't speak from personal experience. However, I spent 20 minutes on the lift (it stopped for a while) last weekend with a guy who was riding on a voile setup. He does a lot of long back-country stuff (like multi-day trips). His opinion was that the Voile was a much more reliable setup than the Burton one. He explained why, but all that registered with me was that the Voile is a simpler design. Maybe that's why I thought the Burton looked very cool, it apparently is somewhat complex. He was riding in a new pair of Dynafit boots. We ended up having a good conversation about the great time that can be had riding hard boots. It was his first day on hard boots.
