Scuff Posted January 17, 2007 Report Posted January 17, 2007 Sweeeet! Thanks Trent, for building/bringing the Limbo and posting pics. Good times! ~Karl Quote
carvedog Posted January 17, 2007 Report Posted January 17, 2007 Nice job getting the MN carvers together. Nice to see that old tire track Burton Prime too. Was the 180 butter the muffin thing in the first photo thread on purpose? :p Quote
Scuff Posted January 17, 2007 Report Posted January 17, 2007 "Butter the Muffin".. HA ha ha! No - I think what isn't shown in that photo sequence is the Videographer standing JUST out of frame. I came in pretty hot on one run, and realized mid-carve that I would be able to turn quicker than the camera guy could react. Later he said "I saw my life flash before my eyes!" as he moved to the other side. ...or maybe that happend on my previous run, and here I was just showing off.. don't remember. :) Quote
Kent Posted January 18, 2007 Report Posted January 18, 2007 Darn...I missed it. Nice turn out, guys. Did Rufus come out of MIA? This whole thing kinda started up at Spririt Mountain prior to "Expression Session" being used universally. So....the 1st name was "Arc Welder". Trent obviously does a better job organizing than I ever did...... In other trivia....until 2004, the Buck Hill / Hoigaard's Thursday Night Snowboard Series had been running for 11 years. Started by Mr. Tim Parker and somehow got tossed to me, Gabe (RIP) and Holmie always jumped in to help. Trent has the Rossi Back-pack and gates. I think I threw away all the panels...I'm not sure. I'll be back...... Quote
Scuff Posted January 18, 2007 Report Posted January 18, 2007 Nope, didn't see Rufus this year. Met a lot of new people though. Buck Hill / Hoigaard's Thursday Night Snowboard Series Dang! That sounds cool. Wish I would have know about it before it went kaput. Thanks for the Trivia! I like your Arnold impression. :) ~Karl Quote
BobD Posted January 18, 2007 Report Posted January 18, 2007 I saw Rufus (the guy who rides in ski boots ? ) at Buck, Tuesday morning. I normally see him once or twice a season midweek mornings. BobD Quote
Kent Posted January 19, 2007 Report Posted January 19, 2007 Really? Oh yes. Matter of fact, if the snow is good...maybe I can come up this weekend! It's too $%@#$%@ cold to ride my bike, so I might as well snowboard. The local hill here is actually opening this weekend. So if I stay here, I'll just answer the "what are the riding" question...... http://www.hiddenvalleyski.com/ I promised to make a surprise appearance one of these weekends..... In other MN alpine news, I hope you guys saw Garrett got himself back on the podium. K Quote
trent Posted January 19, 2007 Author Report Posted January 19, 2007 rufus actually showed up last year. we were all at lunch, came out afterward and were wondering where the sims split tail came from sitting in the rack. a run or two later, rufus is riding with us! bryan, johnstewart offered to host the picts. but since i've been having all kinds of issues trying to email him the picts, i've got to mail him a cd. he'll have to post the link once he gets them loaded (after i get him the cd). -trent Quote
