ecnalubma Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 I seem to be having some trouble with my heelsides and I'm thinking my stance is to wide. I think if I ran a narrower stance I'd be able to really drive my knees together better to get more power to the tail. any thoughts? Quote
D-Sub Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 you're counterrotating by about 15 degrees. Your hips arent even facing your toes, and your upper body is facing even further inside. at least your knees are apart! I think you should try some 6* cants though Quote
ecnalubma Posted January 6, 2007 Author Report Posted January 6, 2007 Thanks for the input. seriously though, he will go pull my board and boots out of the closet, put 'em down, try to put on the boots then yell and point till I put the boots on the board then he climbs into the boots. 19 months old!! (thats my boy!!) Quote
D-Sub Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 thats neat. Can't imagine what it's like. I'll never know. Quote
ecnalubma Posted January 6, 2007 Author Report Posted January 6, 2007 they're a blast, but demo one first for sure. Quote

Dave Pushee Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 they're a blast, but demo one first for sure. Absoluteley! Beware though. The demos come with a fresh tune. After you've had them a while they turn into teenagers. Don't worry, by the time they hid mid-twenties they usually turn out OK. Quote

Future Olympian me thinks....... Good to see the intec cables are well within his reach though..... Quote
Derf Posted January 6, 2007 Report Posted January 6, 2007 I think you should check out the formula to calculate stance width with the inseam in this case. It looks like a stance the freestylers used in the early/mid 90s. Quote
Blackbird Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 I think you should check out the formula to calculate stance width with the inseam in this case. It looks like a stance the freestylers used in the early/mid 90s. Except their boots were rather loud dayglo colours!!!!! No wait that was late 80's early 90's Quote
Blackbird Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 BOL Photo Contest candidate? X 2 totally agree! Quote
Derf Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 I remember when 22"+ stances were the norm for freestylers and they wore pants so baggy the edges cut the bottom (you could fit you two legs in a single pant leg). It was hell looking for some snowboard pants back then, and it was before outdoor type shells became affordable (you only had 500$ Gore-Tex pants available). Quote
Dr D Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 check the diaper drag out its the transition from sitting on the toilet. just widen the stance a little and your butt draggin days are over:lol: Quote
kipstar Posted January 10, 2007 Report Posted January 10, 2007 Oi! Eukanuba! NO! While I appreciate your young apprentice learning the ways of the snowboarding jedi with 55 degree stance angles and no cants, I will not tolerate The House board advertising littering our website with attempts to sell babies and green shirts to children! Oi! NO! OK, you might need to have seen Harry Enfield to understand this. Check it out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b22foyWvuUU something like this. Quote
ecnalubma Posted January 14, 2007 Author Report Posted January 14, 2007 %$#@!! I cant get youtube at work. !! He's got 3 degree cants on there, the kid's not for sale ( I'd consider a lease though ) and i'm not sure about the "house board" reference? Quote
