wavechaser Posted January 4, 2007 Report Posted January 4, 2007 Those aren't Race Plates - they are Carriers...the difference is the riveted, instead of screwed, toe and heel plates. Just for truth in advertising. :) Quote
bjvircks Posted January 4, 2007 Report Posted January 4, 2007 about the comment that the bindings are Carrier, not Race Plates... I had a set of bindings with factory artwork saying 'carrier' on them. They were COMPLETELY PLASTIC for the body. They did NOT have the three notches per side which allow what appears to be a metal baseplate to be seen. They DID have the sliding riveted toe and heel blocks seen here. Are these on this thread some version of the 'Performance' series? I'm having a good time watching and learning about all of the various plate binding permutations that Burton has created. They seem to be all the same but all different. I've still got a lot to learn even if it amounts to trivia. Quote

Derf Posted January 4, 2007 Report Posted January 4, 2007 If you re-read it, you'll notice he never says they are Race plates, he just say they are for a race board, and I'm sure he means it in the generic meaning, as in alpine board. Here in Québec, whenever I talk to someone, they call any alpine board a "race board". Quote

Yes Derf my friend - that is because he edited the BOL post and the eBay listing after I pointed out the error originally...so no need to re-read. Quote
wavechaser Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 Sorry, I didn't notice, my bad. My bad for not just letting it all go...the poor dude is trying to sell his bindings and us dummies are arguing about what they are called! Quote
