Thor VonRippington Posted December 30, 2006 Report Posted December 30, 2006 F2 Speedster RS 183 GS Race Stock $450 shipped in US Two minor scratches on the base (cosmetic only) A few minor blems in the binding areas Edges are perfect and will last several more grinds This board is beefier than the "over the counter" version Super smooth ride in and out of the chop Freshly tuned Quote
Thor VonRippington Posted December 30, 2006 Author Report Posted December 30, 2006 Stan, how did it ride? Please call or Email me . One of the most stable and predictable boards I've ever ridden. I was surprised that it didn't need break-neck speeds to turn it. This will be a tough one to let go... especially taking the $$$ loss. But I'm still on track for going custom and need to check out a few more decks. Quote
Speedzilla Posted December 31, 2006 Report Posted December 31, 2006 Just curious....what makes this better than the normal board I can buy? Quote
Thor VonRippington Posted December 31, 2006 Author Report Posted December 31, 2006 Just curious....what makes this better than the normal board I can buy? This IS a board you can buy! ;) I probably can't tell you anything you don't already know... but When a company who mass produces snow boards builds a board for a team ridder, they use higher quality materials and design the board for race conditions. You end up with a beefier board that can be pushed harder with higher performance. I can't tell you the specifics in this case... (ie: they used different wood, more carbon or a faster base) but I can tell you that I have ridden both the mass produced and race stock versions and they are very different rides. I wish I could tell you more... maybe someone here at BOL has more insight to the question. Quote

Thor VonRippington Posted January 1, 2007 Author Report Posted January 1, 2007 Can't we all just get along? We need to get those guys some Rockem Sockem robots and settle this like adults. Quote
Thor VonRippington Posted January 7, 2007 Author Report Posted January 7, 2007 For those kicking the tires on my email: After some measuring... I think the specs on this board are: 19.5 center 15 SCR I don't know who it was made for or what the ridder's weight was, but I weigh 200lbs and didn't have any trouble turning it. It's not super stiff so I didn't have to go mach 2 to get it to turn. On the other end... it was very smooth and stable at high speeds. Quote
Thor VonRippington Posted January 17, 2007 Author Report Posted January 17, 2007 The board is still available. Quote
Thor VonRippington Posted February 25, 2007 Author Report Posted February 25, 2007 One more bump before I send it off to the glue factory Quote
Damion Terrell Posted February 26, 2007 Report Posted February 26, 2007 I'm saving up for USASA Nationals, but I really want this board. Currently riding a 3-4 year old F2 Speedster 177 std. addition for GS racing. This board would be sweet. Well if something turns around, I'll get in touch with you. Quote
