Art
OK so how do I do it? I searched for previous threads about picture sizing but got nothing. Am I better off doing it in Iphoto or can I resise them if I save them to a file? I have a file of pictures from snowboarding and cycling and was trying to post some bike pics but thw pics I ended up posting were pretty small. Mac G5 with a bunch of stuff my wife knows how to use. Thanks for the help.
bobdea
will do it, resize them by choosing share then in the share menu export there it will allow you to resize and choose the type of encoding this is the better solution though http://www.lemkesoft.de/xd/public/content/index._c2lkPWdjLWVu_.html

Sinecure
Select the pictures you want to post (Apple-Click to multi-select non-adjacent pics). Choose File, Export. In the export pop-up, choose the size scale you want. I usually choose 800pixels across and let it calculate the other axis. Then export them to the desktop. They'll have their original file names on the desktop (or whatever folder you put them in). That will have sized them. Then choose wherever you are going to upload them. I like biglines.com for ski pics because you can put good tags on them, plus the pics don't seem to expire. And you can upload multiple pics at once on biglines. bartron
I use iPhoto, as Bob described, or ThumbsUp http://www.devon-technologies.com/download/index.html ThumbsUp is cool because you drag-n-drop the photo you want to resize onto the ThumbsUp icon (either on your desktop or in the dock) and it will create a resized copy of the photo, using the same filename as the original but with _thumb added to the end of the name. You select the destination size and filename suffix in the preferences. It's great if you want to resize many photos at once. 'later... Art
Doh! I usually dont take the time to read the pop up box, I was just stuffing them in a file. I wanted to post some bike pictures so I will give it a shot again. Thanks fellas. Off to the Ski Expo now to try to spread the carving gospel.
