swt
I dont want to switch bindings alot, So im simply thinking of getting 1 or 2 sets of the base plates, but will intsalling and removing the upper portion, a lot cause any safety issues? Nope, I swap CATEK top plates around all the time. I did it with my OS1s and it's even easier with the OS2s. I suppose you could even argue that it's safer to move the bindings a lot, because you're frequently checking the tension on all the bolts -- something you should do regularly with any binding, but is an easy step to forget when you're looking up the hill at perfect cord. The key with CATEKs is to loosen each of the tilt screws the same amount (say, 1/4-turn), then remove the kingpin; install on the other board by tightening the kingpin and retensioning the tilt screws using the same increment as in the removal step. This results in constant lift/cant settings and tension. The board swap takes me about 2 minutes total at a leisurely pace. swt
Guest
Ditto what swt said, no problems. Plenty of people do it.

Derf
Catek has the disks for World Cup, old Olympic (12mm) and OS2. They don't have the disks for the new Olympic (10mm).
