Shin Bang

rest and ice.

Have you had this problem in the past with these boots or is it something new? Have you recently changed your set-up (stance, bindings, board, etc.)? Have you changed your riding style/technique recently? Are you riding more aggressively than before?

Any of the above can affect the pressure on your shins. Sometimes your liner breaks down enough that you'll get a pressure point right where the top of the plastic on the outer shell ends. You also might have your boots too tight, or too loose.

Start thinking back to when it first started and try to troubleshoot it from there.

I use the Raichle Thermoflex liners in my UPS boots. I also added a Booster Strap to the top. This combination works well for me. When I set them in the morning, I tighten the top buckle as tight as I can, then set the booster strap. Then I loosen the top buckle one notch but leave the booster strap. This gives me a snug upper boot, but gives me some flex.

Good luck. Go see a bootfitter if you get new liners and get them professionally fit. It is worth the $150.
