such as the F2's

looks like I'm either buying a metal prior or another metal board and I have heard from multiple sources that bombers and cateks shorten the lifespan of these boards dramatically

I don't wanna break my new baby so I'm gonna put a softer plate on it

Bob, I have some intec deeluxe carbons, I rode them on my Kessler for a year because you mount the disk to the board, and binding via a big king pin they are kind to the board. Also F2's with a home cut and sanded polycarbante(SP) plate and some longer screws are the answer...Most guys run the poly plate. Myself include. You'll love metal!! The true fear is to dent or form a seam in the metal that breaks the shear strength.
