Fleaman Posted October 21, 2006 Report Share Posted October 21, 2006 I was out yesterday afternoon with a buddy and walking up the mountain we saw tons of tree rubs, big tracks etc. We walked as quiet as possible. We stopped to whisper a few words and started to walk again. Little did we know the buck we were onto was just 30 yards away around the corner and he pranced off into the trees. What a bummer. jtslalom Posted October 21, 2006 Author Report Share Posted October 21, 2006 I went out this morning from 6:30 to about 10:30. I saw a real nice 8 point around 10. He was about 40 yards away and never got close enough to shoot. What a nice buck it was. It was nice enough for the wall if I can get him. The rut will start in about two weeks.
