Guest aikidan
I'm going to be in the Seattle area on business in mid/late February and was thinking of bringing my gear along and hitting the mountains (well, hopefully not literally -- just grazing them). I'd hoped to go up to Whistler (never been there) but don't think my schedule is going to permit it. The only place I've ridden in the PNW was Stevens Pass many years ago before I switched to alpine. For someone who's only got a couple of days available, where should I go for the best carving conditions? Any advice is much appreciated. dan
C5 Golfer
If you are talking a one day trip. I'd go to Crystal first and Stevens second. Let me know when you are going ... maybe I'll meet you there.
Art
Stevens Pass or Crystal offer the most terrain. Depending where you are in the area (downtown Seattle) you can get up to Snoqualmie pass in about 45 minutes from the city for some night turns. the terrain there is a little limited, but there might be some folks around who may be able to hook up. If you are around Feb 29- March 1,2 there is a race up at Crystal mountain, about an hour and a half away from the city. Do you know the dates ? Sean
Between Art, Al and myself we ought to be able to get with you for some turns. Drop us a line when you know the dates and we can figure something out. -Sean
