  1. ALL GONE, thanks for the doe now I can lengthen my bike season just a little longer.
  2. I where an 11 shoe and I had the regular liners plus superfeet inside of them, no problems. I have a regular width foot but the shells have a lot of adjustability in them as far as how tight they can get.
  3. Not sure what your talking about, regarding the fix? But it wasn't broken to begin with so, no I guess its not fixed. The Cateks are not included they were sold separately, sorry.
  4. I have the following for sale; Donek FC II - $250 (length 175, width 19.5, sidecut 11.75) (SOLD) Head Stratus Pro 28.0 - $150 (BTS Kit installed with blue springs) I have both the orange and grey tongues and hard and soft soles to go with these boots. Their is also a Booster Strap installed on these. (SOLD)
  5. Board $250 plus shipping and boots $150 plus shipping, look at first thread for info on board and boots. $50 drop in both board and boots.
  6. Sorry the BTS and boots are a package deal.
  7. Yes it is still for sale. I am 6' and am also 195. The board is not a custom it just has a custom die cut graphic on the bottom. "Lose Your Mind" is the saying the use in the quite awesome ski school movie. The FC II is a little wider than the FC I and I think a little more stable. I ran pretty high angles around 65 - 70 deg and with 28 boots I never toed out. I think the 175 is a great board because you can make some pretty tight turns on it for smaller hills but it can also be laid out. The boots are nice, I have the softer tongue in them now and they work great. I do also have the stiffer tongues but I don't think you need it. I installed the BTS kit in the boots and they made a difference with the overall flex pattern of the boot, especially when pushing hard into a turn. The board is in great shape haven't even had to stone grind it, just a few nicks here and there. I did bevel the base 1 deg and the sides 2 - 3 deg. I carved along time ago, got out of it, then got this set up about 4 years ago to ride with a buddy. My buddy got a new job recently and everybody else I ride with is on a regular board so I am getting rid of it.
  8. Donek FC II 175 and Head Startus Pro 28.0 with BTS still available, waiting for a new owner.
  9. E-mail sent to you, an extra set for you, merry christmas.
  10. I have the following for sale; Donek FC II - $250 + shipping (width 19.5, sidecut 11.75) This board has been used but not abused. Probably has 45 days on it since I purchased it. There are a few scuffs and small chips out of sidewall/top sheet but all are very minor and the base is in excellent condition. This has a custom die cut graphic in it "LOSE YOUR MIND" Head Stratus Pro 28.0 - $150 + shipping (BTS Kit installed with blue sprigs) I have both the orange and grey tongues and hard and soft soles to go with these boots.
  11. My buddy and me both live in Duluth and are at Spirit a lot, we would be happy to help out. I used to teach snowboarding but only softboots, never tried to teach anybody on hardboots. I second the fact that Lutsen is not a friendly place to try and learn it's steep and usually cold and icy. In my opinion 4 pipe at Spirit Mt. would be the best run to learn on. Let us now if you are coming up.
  12. I am heading to Whistler on Feb. 15th and 16th. Any recommendations for some nice runs, I want to experience eternal bliss.:D
  13. How much do you weigh? What boots do you have? This happened to me on my HEAD boots with the BTS and blus springs. I put the stiffer tongue on the boot when I installed my BTS in case the springs were to soft. I expereinced shin pain on my back leg right away. I removed the stiff tongue for the softer one and the pain went away. I am 215, ride pretty agressive and use the blue springs on both top and bottom. I would also consider the booster straps as another member mentioned. I use the three strap version and they helped to snug everything up.
  14. On the first boot I just picked a spot and drilled. I used a square to make a line across the back of the boot (as you are looking at the back of the boot with the BTS temp in spot). Then I looked down from the top and lined it up coming up with sort of a crosshair on each side. Took a drill and went to town. It was much easier then I thought it would be. I ordered pins (long and short) for the Deeluxe boots and used those for the top and bottom pin in my HEAD boots. I had to drill the bottom hole a little larger but they work better then having to make something. The second boot I actually marked a line where my natural stance (on the heel) was before I removed my old spring system. The holes ended up being a lttle off but I adjusted that using the tension system. It is hard to tell a difference between the old and new but it feels a little smoother on my forward lean. If you need I can post pics.
  15. Gavin R. & Randy S. will be heading out there around the 11th, takin a little road trip.
  16. I am going to retro fit the BTS kit for my HEAD boots. I saw a picture last year of someone who performed this retro and I need to do it. I need some advice on spring set-ups. I am 210 lbs and have a 175 cm Donek freecarve II and ride pretty hard. I was thinking, hard (red) for toe side and medium (blue) for heel side. Does this sound appropriate for anyone who has ridden this system. Some advice would be appreciated. Anyone from the midwest, Spirit Mt. has a nice white streak down the middle.
  17. I was riding the other day, on a real hard toe side carve and I either lost it first or my rear boot ejected, not sure which came first the chicken or the egg. Anyway I was sliding on my stomach with only my front foot in the binding and really digging in to try and stop, you know those trees come up real fast. When I stopped and got up I was only a 100 feet from the lift so I just hiked down there. When I got to the bottom I noticed I had trashed both of my bails on my front foot and slightly bent the bails on my rear foot. When I pulled everything apart to check the bindings, I noticed I had also twisted both power plates. I have contacted Jeff, he said he would replace the parts but he is in Salt Lake. Kind of scarry knowing that we can generate that much force on the bindings.
  18. I know the translation of french fry and thats about it. It looks like these spring systems are hand built, it would be nice to have something a little more "bomber." At 230 pounds and hallin ass, I don't want some flimsy set-up to going out on me.
  19. I was reading a thred in the race forum where you were going to ad a "ACSS gizmo that Arnaud built" to your Head Stratus Pro boots to improve on them. What is that? I have these same boots, love them but want to improve on them. I already have the booster strap. Also does anyone know if bomber is looking at making an upgrade spring kit for the stratus pro's or can the current one be retro-fitted.
  20. Alpine boards come with a 0/0. Just got my FC II the other day. I would thing the other boards would also come with this set-up to allow you to determine what you want to ride.
  21. Everybody has there personal preference on boards. There is no perfect board for everybody, because we all have different riding styles. The funny thing is that this site was mentioned to us less than 48 hours ago and we have already dissected there product and ripped it to shreds. We are some mean, die-hard snowboarders. Hope to be able to ride with you all sometime. Till then have a good christmas. Can I still say christmas in today's day and age.
  22. Cap construction - the wood layers do not extend all the way to the sides of the board. The board has a cap on it that meets up (pinches) with the steel edges and sometimes these boards will be rapped in fiberglass to make them stiffer, effectively to make up for the missing wood layers. These boards tend to be in the lower line-ups for some manufacturers for beginners, but some companies still exclusively use cap construction on all boards. Sidewall constrcution - wood layers extend all the way to the sides of the board making a "sidewall" or sometimes reffered to as a slantwall if it is angled. There is more material underfoot giving the board better edge hold. Then layers of glass can be added to give the board better rebound characteristics. Yes it is stronger just because there is more material there. Park boards are built like this to take the beating of riding rails. Look at a downhill ski racers skis, they are hitting what 70 - 80 mph. They wouldn't be caught dead on a capped ski at these speeds. They have perfectly vertical sidewalls to get the maximum weight over the maximum amount of ski as possible.
  23. I have been riding a Buron Custom X 164 and the thing rides like it is on rails. Incredible edge hold in variable conditions, with a nice flex pattern and it's light to. A little pricey unless you can pro-deal it, but by far the best board I have ever ridden.
