  4. hmm. OK you DO NOT need OS/FR discs, used or unused, or OS bales or OS1/OS2 elastomer or the like from Catek universe... No problem Sir. I understand your wants and English fair enough and I will set the bolts, nuts, screws aside and reply with a catalogue of the nuts and bolt list for you ok? I am easy, random bolts are easier to ship, and life is wonderful yea?

  6. hehe nice post for these FPs...make sure they follow through kiddo
  7. OK 97 percent snow bo a r d e r s employ the safety toe side (because they never developed the feel or ability the difference between a safety turn to get out of trouble and a controlled sequence radii to move from one part of hill to the next). Likely you were tired or moving too fast for your ability to keep control but in any case, we all want to help yea? I have said this many time with sugar and sweet and empathy for riders and skiers who are avers=e to training. Is unfortunate you needed this accident, but if you trust you will remember the times you were in trouble, you went toeside and traversed. OK This takes seasons of daily training to correct. Any advice is like anus we each must have, but you ultimately decide where to go from here. I recommend when you return to snow that you train your weak turn, that is--you train the heelside cut turns, with the emphasis on cut rather than skid or slide stop. The heelside is not a slide to reposition for another overbearing toe pressure, but that is my elbow of advise. If you were in the Sierras I would suggest coaching and at the very least hockey drills (write Wescott or one of the east coast boys to help out). 1) Take time off there will always be snow. 2) Nutrition to your human design, rather than pancreas. Sugar is the US subsidized poison that proliferates every meal. Take responsibility and dictate what you put iin your mouth. 3) PT yourself (who knows better than a physiotherapist, what hurts than you) with iincline board, then disc or bosu, THEN baps (PT will show you how to use this) 4) Relearn your snow intention: do you want to look "proficient," or do you want to use your radii effectively as dictated by the fall and speeds and sinew? YOu need to unlearn the toe side safety, and quit bvshltting and train what is not only hard work at an unglamorous modality like hockey drill, but fight the urge to abandon the hard work only to repeat your mistake that every snowb o a r d e r seems to cherish. 5) Trust me. There are a couple coaches and even US team alum like Trish Byrnes that can explain this hockey drill (again , not fun, but it will teach you to turn to control rather than slide or transition your toeside safety turn. 6) Yea, I am helping, so please no offense or argument. I do actually understand the problem and your accident, yea? In any case, heal well and remember that your body will hold you to the shortcuts you take.
  8. Whatever they are doing with mis-threading, or what have you; I'll never understand. Attach/Disassemble/Dismantling daily for waxing, on snow freeriding AMs daily for years/training hours and never a problem with these nuts/bolts/divots. Don't worry, these are some of the best binding you can find to this day. Never problem communicating with Caron, never problem with these exceptional binding...but I guess that is perhaps luck. Hehe I am sure I have every bolt you will ever need. Give me a couple days and I will get back. What else do you need? I have extra FR straps, etc. Yes: etc. I will reply here on the board, as no more private PM mail tag. We no longer hold sale for no-shows.
  9. Lots of men (some AUT and ITA and SPA) liked/used the 165 snake head graphics on the WC, EC, and many other events like SPIA...all before the Kesslers arrived. I liked these boards had ABS sidewall construction, but they were a bit wide in feel.
  10. Don't worry, these posts will be removed in a few days after everyone has had a look. These Team skyback high backs are virtually new condition. Very dusty from storage, and the box is rough so WaveRave will not accept the return. As you can see the retail for this upgrade is 59USD +taxes, so I will offer them at 40US notes or 30Euro notes. Easy as pie. Fits most Burton bindings. Resolve your used good pair of Burton Bindings with this upgrade. It utilizes the same exact screws (screws/nuts that are available at any retail shop in the Empire). If you have a broken highback, or if you are a traveler and have foresight, you might keep these in your board bag/backpack. There is a close up of the interface nut/hole (ha) that you can see in the pic. There are no chips and the rubber inside is as new on the rear. They have not been mounted, only put against the boot; they are just scratched on one of the pair from doing so, and they do not work with the catek FR housing that I used. Don't worry. You will not notice the scratch when you have these on. Easy adjust forward lean. I will not consider selling a left or right individually, sorry. When enough people see the post I will remove it if no sale to help keep the board clean of litter. Please look at the dusty Items in the images. Pick up/cash notes in Mammoth and region, a PayPal will require communication for detail and further delay in the post/ship
  11. 2 TBX team boards with extra titanal enforcements. Race ready, 165cm. Board shown mounted and number 5 board in background with SWIX custom sleeve. Discontinued for SC jib marketing focus. specs 165cm with 9,8 scr (the winningest FIS SBX on world cup prior to kessler era including F2 and Palmer snowboards in the EU) 29,2/24,63/29,2 with tinkler custom board for this exact model. This board cuts arc for aggressive but correct riding, mechanics with extra titanal. Not factory construction. Not cap construction. Large c turning small c turning. Waist is larger, but your gravity is higher for your friend. No palmer power disc needed, unless you need them. He will have plenty of clearance to offset his feet. This board was the expensive game changer before the kesslers. Includes possible MULTIPLE board discs (burton/4,4 combi), hardware (so you don't pester catek for extra parts), extra heel cups, SWIX bag in photo, Awesome tinkler custom for this model). I sold over 6 boards years ago. Nothing separated...even the nidecker Pro carbon high backs, and burton straps/ratchets to replace in any shop/country that holds events.. 5,5 hours to MMSA or 4,5 hours to Bishop from so cal traffic. Cash USD,Euro note, PayPal in person. PM sent.
  12. aw. I have posted these both many times, last in Feb.? Sniffs and no bites. I also have the tinkler with the old TBX 165 somewhere race ready, so I can find pics and post. Lots of stuff to come. ha Many posts do not show with search... :-|
  13. right side as nice as left side.
  14. Raichle 123 hardboot sizing 25MP_7US_6EU. 100 near new/lightly used...excellent rare use condition, with original Raichle liners. If this is your best size, you have nearly new older boots. Local pickup in Mammoth Lakes or surrounding area. PayPal ok US/Euro notes are best for in person transactions with cash delivery.
  15. This fine purple/plum color Burton ALP (not AMP!) hardboard appears to be in Mint with bag. But some minor oxidation of tail/edge from seasons of idle sitting. Oxidation is easily removed with gummi or stone pass. No Burton sticker accompanies this board, but no Burton sticker. PM or reply with genuine interest. Board InPerson is $150US or pending offers. Will separate depending upon offer and logistics for pickup. Local payment/pickup in Mammoth Lakes or local, available on your way to SkiArea...PayPal ok, USD/Euro notes very ok.
  16. wow. Now I can see a head, check the idea that this rider bit edge and cased his fall. Perhaps you can see how I believe this was a fall and not a deep pow turn? I thought the woowhoo was the derogatory, and not celebratory. A mistake without considering the caption, fresh from the drive knee post.

Even though he is commentator for British feed we will assume he was sympathetic with the typical European contingent of riders, most announcers pronounce on the side of error. Vild for wild or Katovice for Katowice... it is how we pronounce w in germanic... Wild has been labeled USA, RUS over the years so there is no real malice here. The content of the commentary may be an entirely other issue, that was common when FIS began grooming its judges for Olympic stage (720 stalefish for rodeo5, etc).
  18. I like to see this with the alpine riders. It shows the person was -having a breakthrough with concept/bodymovement -learning -pushing their boundary beyond the pretty, large c turning -likely learning the hockeystopping...but this drill is best with a steep steep run for producing consequence in case of too much pressure or too little pressure (compression). I like this photo, and I have been this rider many times, with pride intact. Working and failing daily daily daily while learning the drill. Hardly ever once I learned the secret that was there all along if I availed myself to simply let the board perform to its design--cutting turn. Thanks for reminding.
  19. ha. This is a gamechanger tee, or not. But it makes the woman look very busty or a plussizer... I don't care for it, as a bit much for most taste, and a crack is a crack, after all yea?
  20. That is a horrible event. People ask to keep business local, and here is what you sometimes get in return. You have to look and find, and of course ask opinion from other racers. We understand about your upcoming event. How far until your actual inscription? Yes, because if you speak to the owner without emotion, and excitement, you may persuade the shop to sincerely consider at least covering the shipping to a legitimate shop (that you have communicated your needs and disclosure of problem), who is willing to at least look at your board. Of course, it helps that they own the newer Montana Autofeed side/base/and surface stone grind. These are typically ski racer shops as the bro shop will never ever have this equipment or tech saavy. This is another reason to befriend the core skiracer shops, they likely keep up on all FIS events, have their local ski/riders on Europa FIS and sympathize. The caveat: you will need to take your competition seriously and maintain this professional relationship, before after and during your season, after season end during summer, during pre season wax clinics at these type shops (the rep will always use the core racer shop for such). Ostracize yourself from the pro bro hang on shops, if you are serious, because they are only concerned with the bubble gum locals who slide the rails and magazine jibs. Some other viewers who have done leg work might have suggestion, you only have to pick your shops and follow up. This next noram (?) event you have is likely too much to ask if unreasonable for the ski shop regular turn around, but you discuss the owner and if they agree you are now on the hot foot to followthrough accordingly. If you are a part time trainer and racer with a part time career to put food on your table, you are begging the call of time wasting for such exception. I say this because you must be sincere with the best tuner you find, despite other obligation that may pull you from following through to support this shop when it needs you to simply show up and support (with presence) at a ski clinic, tune clinic. If you trust, you may understand the shop will function and must function after your race season is over by paying ski team parents who buy admission to such pre season rep events. OK you get the idea. If you want, I can offer another race shop (keen on these issues, and who actually owns an autofeed and base geometry, the gentleman also knows how to use it, and does not take random snowboards only the best. The shop is in the US (Calif) and you will need to have the owner of your shop understand the geographic logistics/shipping necessity. If you are still reading, I assume a lot from what I have written. I don't do the message often, but am only giving you an alternative way of thinking about how you address your competitive intention. It's that important, besides everything else I write like dedication toward proper nutrition and training, but what ever. Best success with your temporary problem, and if you need to compromise this event (in attendance or result), it is necessary for you to make this next step in eliminating the variables that you cannot control otherwise. Ask, find, and nurture your next tuning environment, when you need it and when it is not so convenient. You will learn more than otherwise, and will really understand how to identify and address the way racers think, but I do not need anyone to agree. Regards
  21. You can train to "drive" all you want, with the strength of a steer at your "master knee" or however you describe. But if wescott would have employed the driving strategy, he would have lost to SLO Radoslov in 1st Olympic boardercross. Sure, they were on soft--Wescott was on softies, and Radoslov was in hardboots...baba ba.. What you need to understand, is wescott (and a few others) trained a different technique on the hardboot in gates). Why focus on this event in particular? The SBX is the best training aid to lend efficacy toward Alpine tech. To 'cturn with a soft and you earn the turn on the hard' is too simple and disingenuous for a coach to ask. Actually, SBX is Alpine event. Don't complain how this is an entire different discipline. Yes, because the driving should never emphasise the arc, as the arc receives the p r e s s u r e (even with noodle legs that an old USOC coach could demonstrate). The point above all is pressure, no more and no less --in order to affect the turn. When you count on gorilla might as your tech, you will fail when it counts. 30 riders in the world will attest that you can turn with greater efficiency with simple pressure that is required. This is not the might, but the cutting with noodle legs. Too much pressure, you skip out, too little pressure and you slide. This is the old technique that you learn with the hockey stop drill. But most riders have no time to train their ability to master this technique in the drill. It doesn't look nice/graceful and takes months even years with daily focus. So why even bother, if you can drive the "master knees A (toeside) & master knees B for heelside?" Take it to ice or hardpack Sierra cement with a softie, you will understand and will likely end the experiment with putting on your hardboot set up, and doing the c turn thing to show you aren't as bad as you were that last run. In the event someone outthere would at least give a couple seasons to this idea, perhaps she or he could break her regular plateau? What is your intention (fun of course) but is it your highest potential? Or your safe game. I don't expect Gold olympic focus, since 25 of the 30 older riders who use this in the world are in the EU coaching kids at spare time. But even if you dedicate to your highest, you will certainly avail yourself the fun as corollary. You might even excel from your previous level, and rider stronger and smarter for your trouble. Sometimes, looking like a beginner or looking at things with a begginer mind allows you that singular unique perspective that you would not have otherwise. You can always go back to your "master heelside/toeside" technique... if you are too proud to look like a beginner with the daily hockey stopping for your entire on snow time, that is. Or disregard and do your business as usual, because you have no time for this nonsense. Besides, "it's quicker and fun" to be right, yea?
  22. Well, we want to make a shirt for 2013 SCES, but we want input. We want this shirt to cost 7USD or 5EURO cash. We don't usually ask, but "Have you seen him?" Of course, June Mountain is closed... By the way, for all the brash whippersnapper, Bud Hayward at June Mountain allowed snowboarding before McCoy/MMSA Allowed the snowboarding! 110 Yes, of course The Mystery Man will get a free tee shirt if these get to press.
  23. Evan, the best thing about my Nidecker binder was the removable C-highbacks. Deposit these on your Cateks if you do not have the upgrade. Sure, the board can be a bit older, but the driver tells the board story. We all understand this by now, yea? 110
  24. I am sorry I don't care that any one thinks. The ski area has priced out its primary demographic for many years, over a decade. The desired demographic for over a decade has been Aspen/Vail. Town Council has conducted many "Resort Peer Tours" to Aspen/Vail, as well as other truly internationally accessible ski areas (WhistlerBlackcombBC)... unfortunately all the while at taxpayer expense. Only after this most recent recession has either Ski Area or Town actively markets to Southern California demographic, but it is a bit late. These tourists will spend their greenbacks elsewhere if they can for a better money-oriented package. When Dea was living in ML he could explain his perception of the ongoing Housing crunch for most local skiers/snowboarders. So with the announcement of either JMSA closure for 2012 or JMSA potential reopening, all I can say from experience is donation to MotherNature snowmaking. Yes, because if this year is same or worse than last, MMSA and JMSA will likely close for the 13-14 winter season. There is no argument. I told many the CEO was lobbying the JMSA '12 closure to bring more guests to MMSA. But MMSA draws one type skier. JMSA is a completely different experience with its own charm. Charm alone will not pay the bills, hence the closure this season. HarvardSchool of Business model is not a permanent closure due to legal issues, but the wiser route was closure for one season (unannounced to broker against lift ticket surtax, etc). Of course, there is a likely future for JMSA, but the CEO owes nothing to the town of June Lake. So good luck up there and have fun
