  1. Brand new and still in plastic; Tanker 192 (02-03, I think). White topsheet and black base with flames coming off of the nose. $400 plus shipping Email for pics Mark SOLD
  2. Hey, just in time to put all of the gear away for the season: Price reduced to $95.00 plus shipping Again, these fit a smaller boot. If you are a rider with big boots these may not be the bindings for you. Say, a 9.5 to 10.0 US is about it. Have these babies ready to ride for next season when the snow flies in November. Thanks for looking, Mark
  3. Oh my, that looks like something from a crime scene. Too bad you didn't have an EVIDENCE card below it. Mark
  4. SBS: Was that George Papadatos you were referring to? He's in at least one of the vids riding a Rossignol WC 184. Mark Edit: Nevermind, I see the reference above and BB refers to Papadatos. Sorry.
  5. SBS: Ride The Edge I've been able to see the old vids of Doyle, Cabell, Ledingham, Ahumada, and others surf Aspen and Buttermilk. What a sight to see these surfing legends teach us how to ride on the edge. One of the best riders I've ever seen on film is George Papadatos (sp?) on a Rossi 184 WC in his mid-60s. I just wish everyone could see those old videos. It's a reference point for where the sport was, is, and is going. Best music of the video was Gary Hoey's Peahi. It's off of his CD "Money". Mark
  6. BB, You gonna ride that Mav or you gonna frame it? If you ride it, I'd like to hear your take on it. Good grab for you! Mark
  7. Hey AK, Maybe not as crazy as your weather but, It's snowing hard here in northern Utah just as my local hill closed yesterday. I've shoveled twice this morning and watching it snow now. Time to put the boards into storage in a few weeks and break out the skateboards. Still have some dates to attend at the SLC ski areas. Most of those are 'beer' dates. Make a run, drink a beer back at the truck, make a run, drink a beer back at the truck...! I skated my local skatepark Friday night. Shorts, sweatshirt, and pads. Now, there's 4 inches of snow sitting on the cement over there. Welcome to spring! Mark
  8. Hey Chad, what's the stance width on that prototype? Though it looks narrow to me I'm wondering if that is what is needed with such a deep V being created by the tails. Thanks, Mark
  9. It just occurred to me that I am probably guilty of thread-jacking here. I'm very sorry if that's what I did. Otherwise, I'll try and keep to the subject matter from now on. This,.....Possum's Pouch you speak of, any good skating hills to speak of? Mark
  10. As to rocker for boards, that would probably first go to surfboard design. Next, Milovich used rocker on Wintersticks in the '70s. Some skateboards have had rocker over the years, too. My first Sims snowboard was rockered (1700 Ultimate Powder). What's old is new. Mark
  11. Jon: Sure, you can rent a downstairs bedroom from us. Separate bathroom, common kitchen. Access to Snowbasin (75 minutes), Powder Mountain (90 minutes), Snowbird (180 minutes), PCMR/Canyons (180 minutes), Targhee (3.5 hours), Jackson, Wyoming (3.5 hours), Sun Valley (5 hours). Or, was there something better than these areas you were looking for? Today's reports that came into my office indicated 20-plus inches of new snow with not a lot of people on the hill. In addition, the local ski area (Beaver Mountain) is opening an additional weekend to service all of the season pass holders one more weekend. Season passes here are cheap, as in cheap. Of course, the terrain is good but, by no means anything that rivals the SLC areas or Snowbasin. Mark
  12. Actually, tomorrow is the last hurrah for my area. Too bad I'll be babysitting my boss instead of riding a foot of new snow. You mentioned about moving earlier. Any real intents there? There are still some exceptional areas available for riding groomers and powder in the mountain west. All is not lost. Mark
  13. I rode fresh powder yesterday in blowing, drifting conditions. The nose of my swallowtail snowboard could be seen only when it 'porpoised' up from the depths of the fresh snow that had fallen overnight. I'll do the same thing on Thursday morning, too. I'm about 3 weeks behind you on the longboarding. Meanwhile, the beer is still cold :) Mark
  14. Ron, your profile indicates that you have no contact information. I'd love to take a look at the board. You can contact me via BOL email in my profile, too. Mark BTW: I'll hijack my own thread by saying "High Fives!" to Bomber Industries for customer service, ease of use, pleasant demeanor, unassuming manner, and the utmost in decorum. If US banks had the kind of customer service that BOL has they might be deserving of a stimulus package. I got my TD2/3 step-in heel upgrades today (steel) and I can't wait to try them tomorrow, and the next day, and the next day. Powder is coming.
  15. OK, Bomber has their spring sale going on and I noticed that the Axxess 177 and 182 have most of the things I'm looking for; as well as the FC 185. My question is which board should I get? The Axxess or the FC? I'm leaning toward the FC due to the 12.5 SCR and 9+ stiffness rating. But, the Axxess would be more of a all-conditions board. Anyone with experience on both? I'd like to make my decision quickly to save the $150 bucks off of a new Donek price. Thanks, Mark
  16. OPH: That's funny you should mention looking like a dork with my pants leg up around my boot cuff. A few weeks ago, I was in a hurry to get on the snow for a great blue-sky groomer day. I went through the normal routine of getting ready and I forgot to pull my pants cuff down and over my rear boot. I made several runs and never noticed the problem until one of the lifties asked me who dressed me that morning. Everyone had a good laugh at my expense. I sure like the idea of swapping the internals and I can do that in the summer months when I'm not busy riding. Thanks for the tip! Mark
  17. I'm at work and don't have the attendant parts in front of me but, I had figured I could put the left heel insert on the right heel receiver (boot and receiver) and it would work. I could be wrong. I was wrong once many years ago. If it doesn't matter what side the cable and handle are on I can't see where there'd be a big difference. Of course, I'd have to use my hand on the inside of the boot instead of the outside. If I'm wrong on this (covered above) please, flame away, flame away.... Mark
  18. This is a great idea and one that I've used this season. Plus, you have an extra cable and heel assembly to use when the old one needs replacing. Mark
  19. I think that humans have many and much higher bounds to reach and keep. It is the dream of any human (let alone the dolphin) that their kind would reach higher than the previous generation and yet, human societies keep being fettered by religions, traditions, war and pride to relent to a higher calling. If money is the root of all evil, then greed is the fertilizer. The difference between a statesman and a politician is one has been given too much fertilizer. The common man is not common as to his understanding. It is a simple approach to his thinking that allows him/her to maintain a commonality among nature's creatures. But when we introduce religion or governance to humans, history proves that common sense is thrown into the trenches of war and the books of tradition. Both of whoms' outcome is death by man or God. The dolphins still dream. Even when mankind creates a nightmare. mark
  20. Question: After having seen videos of Coda boards in action using non-releasable bindings (Bombers) and seeing monoskiers using releaseable ski bindings, is one just safer than the other? Or, are the Coda users taking a BIG chance and just don't know it? Is there any reason someone (like myself) should not mount TD's to any snowboard in a parallel, facing forward orientation and ride safely? I really like the idea of the Coda board for my wife who's had ACL knee surgery and has problems with the idea of releasing from a binding at speed. Mark
  21. Man Is The Dream Of The Dolphin Mark
  22. Robin, I just shipped the board out to you. Priority USPS mail (insured). You should get it in about 2-3 days. Lemme know. Thanks, Mark
  23. Ken, I just sent the payment to your PayPal account. Thank you, Mark
