  1. Along these lines...having worked as a ski tech years ago, I really don't want someone who knows as little as I did, anywhere near my base and edges. Are there any good tuning references out there? I hate to go after my base and edges with file, stone and wax only to end up with a base-high-round-edge special. Scott
  2. Could you post an update on what you have left? Thanks.
  3. OK so I have proven to myself that Raichle/Deelux will not fit my 4E feet (*way* too narrow). I have heard that Heads are generally wider, so I am in the market for a pair in M26 or 26.5. If you have some for sale, or some other WIDE boot, I may be interested.... Thanks, Scott
  4. I am part of that 99%, and just returned a pair of Raichles to our hosts because although the shell length was ok, my feet rubbed BOTH sides of the shell *without* the liners. We are talking WAY beyond a little tight (excruciating pain just putting them on in the living room). I am hoping that a pair of Heads will be a better starting point, but my freaky wide feet will probably make me have to have some custom fitting also. I have seen numerous posts referring to the Starting Line, and several folks recommend visiting 'boot fitters'. has anyone compiled a list of shops specializing in fitting? I doubt there are any here in Richmond, but with a little planning I could probably road trip to one if I knew where to go. Any Suggestions? Thanks, Scott
  5. It has been a loooooong time since I have had to consider this, but I found a new board and bindings under the tree this year. The wife took pity on me and got an F2 & TD2's...:D . This rig replaces my 14 year old "carving" set up, a Burton M6 with softies, and I have no idea what I need to do before I hit that white crusty stuff we pretend is snow here in the southeast. Do you guys tune a board right out of the plastic wrap, or just wax it and go? Anything special I should do with the bindings/screws/inserts aside from following the set up instructions elsewhere on this board? Suggestions greatly appreciated!! Scott
