I'm just going to try and win another custom built Coiler at the SES final banquet again... zero cost. My Wife's zero cost Coiler is in the mail from last year's banquet.
-
Can't go Saturday. Will likely be out there on Sunday.
-
Sweet! What time you heading up there Steve? Anybody else? Conditions last weekend were great!
I'll see if Darcy and Wonser want to come.
-
Email sent.
-
Brad is coming in from U of L on Friday night, so him and I will be there on Saturday.
-
Thanks for this Roy. I missed the boat though. Still looking...
-
I might just have some. I need to dig through some equipment this weekend and I'll let you know. Not tomorrow though, I'll be at Nakiska for opening day.
-
Looking for used Mondo 24 ladies 4-buckle carving boots with Thermo Flex liners.
-
Nice stick Al! Are you bringing it to SES this year?
-
Yes, I plan on going. I'm just deciding on either Saturday or Sunday. l may even try and hit Sunshine on Friday too.
I'm just coming back to work today after getting over the flu, so we'll see how much energy I have for the weekend...
-
It's on this weekend. My daughter Alaina went to it and she said it sucked.
-
I was going to go tomorrow, but the website states opening day for the public is on the 14th. I guess I'm going to the Snow Show at the Round Up this weekend instead.
-
....we are still wrapping up our normal production so I cannot say for now when these will be available. But I would hope by start of the new year if all goes well.
Thanks Fin! I'm coming down to SES again this year, so hopefully I can buy some off of you then.
Riceball, I have a few left in my shop. .... If you're desperate for 1 or 2, I could mail them to you for $15 dollars apiece. I know that's a whole lot more than Fin will be able to make them for, if you can wait, but that's what they are worth to me.Thanks trikerdad, I'm not desperate yet, so I think I'll wait for Fin's new batch. I appreciate the offer though!

...I asked him at the time if he'd be interested in me making more for him to carry at Bomber but he said that when he found time he'd knock out a couple hundred of them with his CNC equipment. Bug him about it and maybe he'll find the time.
Fin, do you have time for something like this? TrikerDad, if Fin can't, would you be able to make some more of these? I'm interested in about 8 of them. It appears to be an extremely weak link to an otherwise solid boot assembly and I wasted about half a day trying to fix the damn thing on my own last year.

I can get a really good deal downtown but maybe more convenient to get something on the way out of town?
I live on the West end of Calgary, closer to the mountains, so it is easier for me to pick you up from somewhere near Canada Olympic Park or McMahon Stadium (Calgary Motel Village). But, if you happen to get a sweet deal downtown, I can make a loop there to pick you up also.
Maybe talk to Corey and see where he is staying so you're both in the same area.

Thanks. The second picture is my hardware fix from the workbench of the rental shop at Buttermilk. I was lucky enough to be left alone for 1/2 an hour to pick through their spare part bins and Frankenstein my boot.
-
I have sent an email to Michelle and Fin to see if they actually carry this. I'll let you know when I get a reply.

Kurt, bring them to NES this year. I'd like to try one...
-
Ann and I are planning to return, but without Brad. He is in his first year of University and can't get away. However, we are bringing his older sister, Alaina, kicking and screaming. You see, she is a soft-booter who only rides her plates maybe twice a year.
Ann will be bringing down her new Coiler she won at the final banquet last year. We just heard from Bruce and he is building it right now, even though he's not feeling all that great. Thanks Bruce!!!
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again and hope you'll join us in convincing our daughter to come over to the dark side and carve the entire week...
-
It's supposed to be +14C today. Not sure how much snow they have made and what crap will be showing through by the end of the day...
I'll just stay home and watch Stamps/Riders game.
Go Stamps Go!

Glad to see you responded to the 2010 thread. I was a bit worried seeing you posted to the 2009 one.
I'm excited for this year as I'll get a chance to bring my new Digital SLR and get some pics, if it's not too cold...
-
Sorry Corey, there is room at our place too, but we have a cat.
Allison is right though... if you stay in Calgary, you can hook up with us for dinners and such. Don't worry, we'll get you to the mountains from here!

Based on comments received, the dates are now set.
NES 2010
Friday, January 15 - Nakiska
Saturday, January 16 - Nakiska
Sunday, January 17 - Sunshine
Please block off your Calendar now...
I'll try and talk to the weather Gods and see if they'll give us something above -26C this year!

It was Ann's birthday today. It was coincidental that the board she won at SES last year showed up on the front porch. I wonder if she'll let me ride it...
