  1. My worst ride was an 86 Pontiac T1000 ( a chevette in Pontiac clothes) that thing couldnt get out of its own way....even with rear wheel drive you had to take it to the sand pits to do donuts and even then you still needed the E-brake to get it to go around....

  2. yeah it happens with names more than you think....look at the WWE; they sued the World Wildlife Fund for the use of the initials WWF...they lost bigtime and not only ended up paying all the court costs but also penalized a bunch of money for the nuisance of bringing the suit in the first place.

agreed with Gecko I work for a large law firm the does alot of IP/Patent law and some companies are very aggressive with their IP (intellectual property). We have lawyers constantly searching the search engines looking for infringement all across the world. but back to the beer...we use to get the beer from our local bar call "Golden Anniversary" granted this was a awhile ago but a case at 1:30am at the bar would cost us 12$. whoever said MHL was good I agree as for all the rest

    Natural Ice

    Milwaukee Beast

  3. I recall that for a while it was popular to install American V8s into old Jaguar E-types, simply for the reliability. They'd chuck the wiring at the same time and install decent harnesses.

there is also a kit to put chevy small block v-8 into the XJS as well. This was a easy swap due to the fact that the jag use a tubro hydramatic 350

  4. Swapping engines in different cars was pretty easy a while back.. Lots of engine room - even to where on some you could almost climb inside an engine compartment and close the hood. Swapping some engines and parts were easier than others. If you compare Chevy small block V-8 with Ford's engine - the Chevy V-8 engine started in 1955 with a 265 cu in went on to 283, 302, 307, 327, 350 and 400 with basically the same motor mount system and most internal parts interchangeable. So one could take a 327 block and build a 302 or a 327 or a 350 depending on what stroke of the crank you used. To hear a well builkd tuned 302 is music to the ears. Made the Z-28 Camero quite famous. This motor is basically unchanged from its early days to todays well designed and built LS1 Corvette motor 5.7 liter motor and the LS2 6.0 liter motor, and is still a push rod design. Amazing! 52 year old design and still top of the class. One interesting fact on custom built "Hot Rods - Roadsters" the most popular body style like the 1925-1940s are Fords have more Chevy small block engines in them than they do have Ford engines. Ford engines starting with the 312 cu in and 351 and 352s are complete puzzles and know one knows why. Regarding gear boxes -- there are so many adapters out there for so many trannys you can mix and match just about anything.

And alot of these Roadsters even with the Chevy small block still rock the ford 9 inch rear end.

  5. The Grand National/GNX was a great car. A friend of mine had a GN in High School. What a beast, but I would go for the 89 turbo trans am instead. One of the mandates at GM is that no car can have more advertised horsepower then the Corvette. At the time the Corvette had the 245hp 350 V-8 so the turbo TA was advertised with 240hp same as the GN, but this was incorrect the 3.8 buick turbo motor actually had 300-310hp. As for a classic muscle car my favorite has always been the 64 GTO w/389 tripower.

  6. i have only boarded killington and mt snow. So my vote would go to k. That said I really dont believe killington is the best "carving mountain". bear is nice but the easy/med trails snowshed/ramshead are all the way on the other side of the mountain. So depending on where you put base its a pain to get over to the other side of the mountain. As for being busy I spent a week there this year and last year and it was dead both weeks. Why did you not put up statton. American Standard has to be one of the best black carving trails of all time (IMHO)

  7. that really sucks I was at MC on Tuesday and if it was just as busy yesterday and it was on Tuesday I can see why. But it still does not excuse the fact that it was a instructor. He or she of all people should know the rules of the mountain. What I did like about MC is that they completely blocked off that trail from the top of the mountain.

  8. industrial blvd is the road that runs behind the strip on the 215 side. bypasses all of the traffic on the strip on Friday night....Caesars, Bellagio, Mirage, and TI are on that side...When me and the wifey go we love The Mirage nice clean not to expensive good location and the best damm breakfast buffet on the strip.

  9. I am in the same boat as you except for the fact that I have gone a total of ZERO times this year!!!!!! :angryfire:AR15firin:angryfire:AR15firin I am just waiting for a good week of cold before I go. With a third kid on the way VT is out this year and I have to pick my days carefully. But I pray everyday to the snowgods that they may blessed the mid-atlantic with two to three nor'easters before the end of February.

  10. My foot measures at 26 and I ride 27.0 winds/reactors with stock liners. I had old 26.5 reactors(blue) and they where too tight and 27.5 reactors(blue as well) and they where too big. The 27 fit my feet perfectly. They go on smooth and I only have to buckle to the first position until i warm up then its up to the second and I can ride in them all day long. My burton soft boot size is 8.5
