I forgot to mention that I'm a full time ski patroller and I get in close to 100 days a season. A guy that I work with had the Ride Insano last season and he had a few issues with them. Twice they had to be sent back because of separation issues. Also the Insano has a very soft bottom that wears completely bald in no time. That's not good for someone who has to do a lot of walking on the east coast hard pack.
I haven't tried on the 2014 Driver-x but they look almost identical to the 13's. Last season the rep told me that the boot had been significantly stiffened so I gave them a try. They were ok at first but after only a few days they were mush. This is one of the older super stiff versions of the driver-x. These things were hard to flex at all when new but break in to a perfect level.
