  1. In heard that you should not wax your face...you never know what other surfaces that you'll need to glide. ---Gord
  2. You da man Tex...just did the toe on one boot (I need smaller hands). Thanks again Matt, awesome mod that I will feel more comfortable riding with. -Gord
  3. Can't find Tex's instructions on the search function...anyone know the approximate size drill bit to use? -Gord
  4. Hahaha Actually they were included in these special ski-tickets that you can pick up for Marmot and Sunshine here in Alberta. The 1st, 4th, and 7th days are free and you also get $25 off each regular pass you buy...for the price of only one regular lift ticket, it's a kick-ass deal that we couldn't pass up...not some high-society BS or anything. :) So I should take the Mercedes decal off my coiler then right?? I need to find some bling-bling stickers and wear a Rolls hood ornament around my neck...awesome. -Gord
  5. Attention CGY carvers: I picked up the direct-to-lift passes for our trip next week. Can someone explain how this works? Can we bypass the gondola line each time? How do we connect it to the credit card? ???? -Gord
  6. I've got a 163cm mint dynastal/OSIN 3800. Great all mountain board that can hold a rail on the groomers. Softer nose, but stiff tail with lots of pop. PM for pics. -Gord
  7. Hey Kristin Kick-ASS!!!! Congrats man, I'm proud to say that I was once able to beat you on the hill...not anymore. Great job! All the best to the family and hope you get to enjoy the holidays!! -Gord
  8. I'v got a very lightly used dynastar 163cm 3800 here in Alberta. Tried to PM you but it didn't work. Send me a note and I'll pass along pics and a price. -Gord
  9. I'll be in Canmore riding at Sunshine/Louise and maybe Kicking Horse for the week for a family vacation. I may be able to steal myself away for some fun with my carving bretheren! -Gord
  10. Let me know if you are intersted in getting rid of the black tongues seperately. -Gord
  11. Bump, I can't get the pics attached at work, PM me and I'll send them along. -Gord
  12. Personaly I think it's dangerous...but there are many opinions on this...Just do a search and you'll see what I mean by "opening a can of worms". -Gord
  13. Let me know if you are interested in getting rid of the black tongue seperately. -Gord
  14. Yeah Canada Post is the way to go. No issues thus far! Another option which can also work is Greyhound. The board/bindings/etc will take longer to get to the final destination, but I've send a board across the country to myself for ~$20 on greyhound. -Gord
  15. FYI, there are a pair of Nitro swallow-tail "Big-Gun" pow sticks available at Techno-Sport in Calgary on 17th Ave. They are a few years old (2-3 seasons), one is mint, the other has been demoed a few times but has been ground and structured in the fall. The guy told me ~$450 for the mint one and ~$350 for the demo...sounded like he'd be willing to negotiate. Also, they are willing to ship gear directly to you if you ask. If I hadn't just got my new Tanker... the new Nitro may have been coming home with me. -Gord
  16. Great board, mint condition (I'm a little anal with how I keep my boards), ridden only a dozen times, no base grinds yet, edges at 2deg side. I just got a Rad-Air Tanker 172 that I believe will be taking this boards place in my quiver. $200 + shipping from Canada. I'll try to post pics on here in the next few days. -Gord
  17. I gotta ask this question, slightly OT though. For the UPZ boots, there is also a ride/relax lever. Due to the presence of a spring and multi-lean mechanism, isn't riding in "walk/relax" mode the same thing as using a BTS system? Personally - ride in 'ride' mode, but am curious as to ways I can make the boot softer on super cold or softer days. -Gord

of Crap! I ride a coiler AM 172 as well as a PRII 184...these boards are awesome (oh ya and I'm in Alberta too). Give up on that shop. Bruce is the king, he will do you well. Also Chris with Prior could set you up too. I'm 210lbs and also a hard carver. I mostly ride my boards neutral or on the nose and the coilers do not dissapoint. Also I rode the 174 4WD from Prior and those boards also do well with forward pressure (more off-groom oriented though). Either way, your new board will be stiffer and more responsive than the O2. I may be heading down your way to go ride at Marmot in January. Maybe we could hook up for some turns. Good luck. -Gord

  21. I've got a Dynastar 3800 163cm that I may be able to let go. A number of people here use this as an AM/powder carver. -Gord
  22. My folks live in Squamish, so a bunch of us are crashing there. My wife and I have put in our applications for volunteering and are applying to buy a bunch of tickets...essentially if we don't need the tix due to being able to volunteer, we can sell them back to VanOc. Looking forward to it -Gord
  23. I used to race with Kristin (and kicked his butt a few times for the record) when I lived back east. Good kid, lots of potential. He hangs out here once and awhile under the name DEON. -Gord
  24. Cool, I wear the same SB pants as Simon!... now I feel special.... "why yes I am the Canadian version of Simon Schoch...of course I'll give you an autograph" .... my god I need snow! -Gord
