  1. Gently used (< 10 half days) Coiler Freecarve Nirvana Energy - 170 with custom graphic. Base is in perfect shape and only the initial tune (and a few passes with the stones) so all of the edge is still there. One tiny ding (see photo). My knees won't cooperate any more so my carving gear has gotta go. Everything in the picture is for sale except the freestyle board. Two pair of Deeluxe boots size 29 with excellent liners, the orange are Indys and the Black with the Fintechs are Track 325s. Individual prices below but will sell it all for $750 (plus shipping) or pick up near Concord NH or at Wildcat/Sunapee or Crotched : Coiler:$450 TD Step-ins- $325 Deeluxe 325s with Fintechs $200 Indys: $100
  2. Crotched tomorrow. The corduroy should be epic! Anyone else?

    Mount Snow

Mt. Snow is reporting 27 inches in the past 24 hours... Maybe that means something other than 27", but it still has to be amazing. Anyone going to be there tomorrow?
  4. Anyone interested in starting Friday the 23rd? Weekends suck (unless they're different at Berkshire)
  5. Thought I'd give Crotched a try tomorrow. Looks like some great trails for carving (at least on the trail map)
  6. Just doing the morning tomorrow. I've seen other hardbooters there both times I've been there this season.
  7. I bought this as an unused leftover 3 years ago and only put 2 days on it. Still looks like new with exception of the added stopm pad. Also have some TD1s with burton discs (6 and 3 degree) and 3 extra standard discs ((2) zero and one 3 degree). Also have a set of burton disks for new TD3 bindings. Board $125, Bindings/discs $90, TD3 Burton discs $25.
  8. Awesome job on the vid. And kudos for for pushing despite the march of time. Hope I'm still doing the fun stuff when I'm 70 too!
  9. Count me in for the clinic

Jeff, Pistol is my favorite and is usually in great shape (as long as they don't let the right side bump up, but that would require extra snow:). Phelps (which for some reason is still not open) and Smith are good wide carvers and Middle Trigger, especially the upper part (which has a little more pitch and is wider than it looks on the map) is great . I'm going this Sunday with a couple of kids who will have me in the terrain park on skis once the crowds show. I hate carving in crowds so I do an hour on the coiler and then on to skis. I have use-it-or-lose-it before April vacation time so if anyone wants to play hooky on a weekday, shoot me a PM and let's set it up. Need more carving legs before the ECES.

On the hill first thing tomorrow. Anyone else?
  12. Thanks, yeah, big fan of Steadman. Just arranged pieces that I liked in photoshop... It was tough to narrow it down to a board's worth! let it snow!!
  13. Here are a a couple of clip compilations from Stratton/Killington in 2001 https://youtu.be/GleNkc57DyY and the 2002 ECES, https://youtu.be/DNEi1ypwVlw
  14. Looks like some great deals. Is there a plan for a banquet, and if so, what night?
  15. I just assume that with any angles below 90 degrees, I'm using some lower leg muscles fighting the Gs on heelside, just like my calves fight some of the Gs on toeside.
  16. Does anyone have any good ideas on how to work the muscles on the front / side of the shins that you will use when carving heelside?
  17. For skiers making the transition, go with what ya got. I started snowboarding on a yard-sale burton supermodel, TD bindings and my insanely stiff Lange Tii ski boots. I think if you had a curious, motivated and tenacious skier who loves carving on skis, I'd suggest he/she start in their ski boots on a carving board . Just loosen the cuff buckle a bit. If they're already a soft-booter I think Slopestart's on the money, Most mortals though need hard boots of some sort to get the all-in carving feeling imho.

Yes, this is a pretty small mountain and I'd never been there until last year, but I picked up a pass for me and the kid for this season because I was pleasantly surprised at the bang-for-the-buck factor of the early season deals last spring (includes nights). Several really good carving runs and the snowmaking/conditions were very good. I ran into only one other hard-booter last year and was hoping that there might be some more people to carve it up with this year. I work in Dover and will be doing a lot of mornings there this coming season before heading in to work. Any locals going to be on the hill weekdays this season?
  19. Palmer With Tony's Track days tomorrow...more crickets? :-)
  20. Going To be at Thompson June 14-15. Lots of slots left!
