  1. One swing thought that helps me when I start loosing it.  Let the board pass under you for a bit longer before you are into your next turn.  It lets me be leaned over and on the downhill edge sooner so I get a tighter turn and dump more speed.  Turning uphill also helps plenty.

Then I can focus on those straight lining private school racer kids.

  2. Having problems loading photos so if you are interested, I can send a photo through email.

  3. I rode my Factory Prime's flat and would get front leg burn right away.  Widening my stance on a new board and adding toe/heel lift was the game changer for me.

Couldn't agree with Corey more.  Make it work in front of the TV and you will enjoy your day outside.

Still miss the feeling of my Factory Primes, but you may want to try an upgrade there too.

  4. Pulled my Madd 158 off the wall to take it for a spin the other day.  The inserts were stripped out when I bought it so I finally got around to inserting helicoils and was super excited to take some runs.  I can only describe my run as twitchy as every bump in the snow caused this thing to try and put me in the woods.  It was fun for the millisecond I had some weight on the edge, but the transitions were terrifying.  I finally caught a toeside and slammed so hard my fingers were tingling.  So that was my one run for the day.

I know I suck and it's not the charriot, it's the horse but, what's been other's experience on a Madd?  If there is something I can do to make it easier, I'll try.  For now, I'm scared to even look at this thing as I might burst into flames.

  5. It's spring break week at our local mountain so lots of straight liners.  On Monday I was clipped three times, once within 20 feet of the lift.  One kid even scolded me for not checking uphill before I turned.

I look uphill all the time and usually pull over as I need lots of room on steep runs.  There are times where I can't look up often enough as people just come out of nowhwere.  Makes me appricite the MCC no passing rule everytime.

CarvinMarvin - Glad it turned out OK for both of you and everyone was appologetic. Just seems that there are times when you are going to get hit.

  6. Hi Broke College Kid,

I feel your pain as there is a to getting into this type of riding.  I went through my basement and found a pair of Raichle 224 with a shell size of 25-27.5, but I can't tell what size liners.  I also have a pair of burton race plates.  Thought I had a board but can't find one in your size.

You are welcome to the boots and board if you want to pay for shipping.  Probably $30?

I'll keep my ears open for a board that you can start with while you build your career and make a ton of money.
