  1. From what I know Holly should be done this weekend, that is what Management told us last week anyway. Unfortunately I can't get out this weekend :( I imagine Brighton will soon follow.
  2. Your probably right, It didn't really have any visible blemishes to the the outside and the foam was good so I just kept using it and have not thought about it in years, until this thread. Way to be a good example I guess. Leedom's site is still up, but last updated in 2010. I actually have been looking for a new one the last year, but the local ski shops suck. I want one with bluetooth (I shouldn't say that here based on the arguments above LOL) Mine stays quiet enough I can hear my patrol radio though.
  3. I like my Leedom helmet, it has served me well. Very warm and comfortable as well. The girl that wore the helmet below walked away, very minor concussion if anything. She was sent to a hospital to be sure, but she did not act anything like a normal concussion patient, she acted normal. I had a major head injury in 1996 from not wearing a helmet, and I know I have whacked my skull at least twice since then easily twice as hard (after buying a helmet). Once was head first into a tree, and another head first into a 4x4 fencepost. Doubtful or not of their capacity to dissipate the energy, having one is better then nothing at all.
  4. Around me you rarely see a carving board and the kids love it. I always am asked questions. I am surprised he doesn't want to do it with you. I could never stand just sitting in the terrain park all the time, then again our terrain park sucks.
  5. It would be Mt Holly, it is my local hill. I should go shoot a vid at Mt. Brighton so I can play like I am Aspen Extreme :p With my pack and stuff on I am probably 230 at most. I can't wait to get on a longer board, with a little one on the way I have to see what I can scrounge up Crappy pic of my old factory prime... I liked this board a LOT, until it was stolen. If I ever see this one on my local hill there will be hell to pay. It has some VERY distinctive cracks in the nose from where I was jumping it and landed on a kid that was sitting and chilling with a buddy below the crest of a jump, and not visible from above.
  6. I have seen how skiis have progressed in the years I have been left behind. I am looking forward to a technology jump now that I found a gateway to some better stuff. The wife won't like it much when she sees the bank account though me I think
  7. I was referred to this forum by a guy riding our small 'hill' here in Michigan. He was rocking a nice longboard, something I had been looking for for a long time. Every shop in the area has told me they no longer make these things. I have been buying second hand stuff for awhile now. I am much happier to know that there are more carvers out there then I previously thought. I have been patrolling on my boards for about 7-8 years now. Started with a couple Burtons and now am riding an older Rossignol. I can't wait to look around this place and see what is out there now to ride! A video I made with my GoPro, my first actually. https://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=10150155882453294
