  1. Pat, i'm actually coming off island on thursday to ride okemo, could i get in on some gates as well? do you know if they have a boardercross course set there as well just courious. i got a race this sunday
  2. Pardon my lack of knowledge on euro shoe sizes but what do they translate to in us I'm a 10. Again sorry for such a mundane question
  3. i have a volkl coal 167 with TD2 back foot and TD1 up front the only mod i did was add a 3/16 5000 series treated aluminum disk under each binding then carved it a bit so looks like a double sided tuning fork :rolleyes:http://www.bomberonline.com/vbulletin/images/smilies/eplus2.gif . a few trial and errors later it still flexs but much stiffer i'll download photos. then my boots are old 123 that have been dremmeled , cut, sanded , and heated to soften a few spots . result hard boot comfort and resopnse is still solid but i can flex as far as my ankle will allowhttp://www.bomberonline.com/vbulletin/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif
  4. Hey Noah, you seem to have a pulse on things in mass. Is there a way I can donate some older gear to any new and upcoming racers? I have Burton proto types race stock from late 90's a few sims burners , and a F2 and a monster oxygen proton 185 , I've been out of racing for some time but some of those boards still rip. Let me know I can bring them off island with me on the 20th. Be well, Steve
  5. Back on the rock, no snow but played 9 holes golf at 42 degrees. Miss snow
  6. great hill, is gordon robbins still running the snowboard program down there he was a great mentor to me back in the early 90's - 98, any day better than another to ride with some of you guys up there ? i dont get off island often but love to carve with a good group of folks
  7. well done love to see plates in the BX i'm on it in feb. Keep it up
  8. 1st time there and mike and i only ones out ! 3 jibbers and rest of hill freshly groomed and just laying tracks. will be back next time off island for a evening session for sure
  9. Anyone around to ride either Sunday pm. The 23rd or Monday the 24th pm. I'm finally getting off island for a few days and would like to ride and not just be solo guy out carving.
  10. so i want to keep my loose fitting hardboots and my TD1 & TD2 setups TD1 fronts on two boards and backs with TD2, the first F2 speed X cross is in my mind fine except perhaps a bit soft in the tip. New set up on a Volkl coal is about to get "exciting?" adding a 1/4 5000 series aluminum plate the width of board and 6 inches infront of front foot, and 4 inches in back of rear. in an effort to stiffin board up and still flex has 1/16 inch rubber on bottom side as a dampener . the 1/4 inch plate should eliminate ripping out inserts or breaking another board while transfering some pressure away from the center and more to trhe edges. thoughts? other than nuts:freak3:
  11. heading to stowe on the 20th of Jan anybody around to do either full or half day? Have not been on snow in some time but (2 years) but i know how to get it done
  12. I'm not opposed to soft boots if they offered me the support i "think i need", i broke both ankles in a big air contest back in 93' before stimilon and people were building proper jumps and transitions. i then turned to racing, but i was comfortable with jumps. now later in life it has just become a trial and error of finding the right set up to do BX. i'm a firm believer that if a freestyle guy can carve, a plate guy can freeride and have fun to. whose to judge? just have fun ripping
  13. i had done the same to my 125's long ago , it was a bit more "hackish" but result was the same and then took the pin out of the lean adjuster locker giving a bit more play , been a nice set up.
  14. 110/220 is it gone then? i read your post and i am new to this forum. Knew it was a long shot but never hurt to ask. p.s. new virus BX in route . see you in the start
  15. did you ever sell the oxess? just getting back into racing BX would like to talk, thanks, steve
