  8. Probably some kids. Ive done worse as a youth. Hey... maybe they will learn to lay out some lines and pass the board on. That would be cool too. Just an old alp but it lit my **** up when I started. All the best to the gang in the Gondola. :) Ken

  11. Not sure if Shaggy frequents here but if someone knows him? Its Ken. I was skiing the other day I spoke with you at Stratton. I had that 164 old school Asym Alp I wanted to donate to you for retro days... I got back to my Car and someone actually stole it from my racks!!!!!! What the hell???? At Stratton???? Anyway, I shouldn't have left it out but who would steal it anyway? Great seeing you guys carve for a few runs. ps: If you see that Alp... ITS YOURS! Ken
  12. Thats me! Board is no joke. Serious core, rails hard. Better have a big foot and a lot of commitment to and edge if you are interested. A lot of fun. I wouldnt recommend it to a light rider or anyone not well versed in carving. I rode it flat/flat with Salomon F24s... it needs a Malamute. I never rode a Tanker but I think the tanker is very different. Just sold it to Ben (?) a couple of months ago. Ken

    Skis???

Yes thats right, skis. Had a question for all you carving folk. I rode alpine a lot of years and ride soft boots now... thats another story! Looking for some skis to demo in 2 weeks, trust the opinions here. All mountain expert ski that does it all. I am 6'1" 190lbs 44 years old and still ski fairly aggressive. Ski Vermont, Colorado and France. Some I want to try (opinions on them?)... • Volkl AC30 • Dynastar 4x4 • K2 Recon Also... length??? I used to ski 204-218, things have changed. Thanks in advance! Ken
  14. And I found the April 2000 snowboard life with the original expression session in it. I was there with my buddy doug. I dont ride alpine anymore but thought you guys would dig it. Cliff Ahumada organized it. Other folks there... Vin Quineville (always a pissa to ride with smiles as hard as he rides) Dave Kirk (gazelle like jumps in between carves) Will Garrow (Dynamite talent and great to drink pitchers with) And if youy know these names you know what I am saying... Joey Cabell, Mike Doyle, Herbie (nose ride at trestles?!?!??!) Fletcher and a fantastic drunken speech by Mickey (Quasimoto) Munoz. Just a piece of fun from recent history. All the best. ps: The pictures are big so you can read it. Dont get bitchy!:p K
  15. WAS $140 now $100! 2008 Salomon's top level boot. Integrated liner reduces overhang on heel and toe. Boots have 6 days on them, super clean. Paypal only plus shipping. Thanks for looking, Ken
  16. 1) Board is sold 2) JTSlalom, I have another, Ride Yukon 169 AND a new Donek 170 Sasquatch. Having 3 similar boards is not a good thing for me. The Timeless is practically the same as the Yukon just narrow. I miss alpine but the freeride setup I am using for soft boots gets fairly close. Not to mention, with age I have stepped my game down a bit. I dont crank super steep pitches dragging my body on ice. I like nice snow and flowing carves smooth low carves. I will always respect my alpine roots, great days with good buddies. K
  17. I really never look at the numbers. Usually just a bit of overhang depending on the snow. Trying to NEVER let the highbacks rotate so steep that I lose heelside pressure. Is the angles question about for carving? If so it was just a matter of adapting my technique a bit and not being as heavy on my edges when I lay out. When I rode alpine I was always close to 70 degrees. K
