... can see the big "B" on the front of the board - back in the days when he was riding for Burton. IMO, he's one of the smoothest racers on the PGS circuit: carves the race course and his hands are not flailing all over the place. Pretty good BX racer too! :D

This is my fourth season on my Burton Winds. I am not hard on my equipment so am hoping to get a few more seasons out of them. They fit my foot well and I like the adjustibility in forward lean and cant.

I spent about three (of my ten)seasons on hard boot, plate bindings, and carving boards but found myself never being quite satisfied with my carving performance. I experimented with my stance, different equipment, took lessons at my local resort, and even rode with some friendly hard booters at the hill to try to improve my riding. On top of that, I just never felt as comfortable and confident as my soft boot set-up. As you can guess , I now ride my soft-boot set-up most of the time and occassionally pull out the carving board for a morning or two a season(rode it last weekend for first time this season). Que sera, sera!

I have an '05 Arbor Element as my current freeride deck which is currently manufactured by Option in Vancouver. The Mickey Munoz I believe was manufactured by K2 Ride so I am not sure how quality compares. P.S. My avatar is a picture of my wife!

Any experiences with this board? I have found one for sale, circa 1998, and wanted to see if worthwhile picking up. Thanks, Sluggomania

I had my Fish on Southern Ontario hardpack this weekend - the more I rode it, the more I liked it. Very Surfy!:D :D

Nokian has a "4 Season" NRW radial that is also pretty good dry road tire. My tire dealer recommended them as winter tires since my Vibe GT came with high-performance, summer radials. Good luck with your tire shopping, Doug

I am selling two boards in my quiver and will take best offer: Coil 65 used approximately 12 times Wire 56 used twice Both boards are in excellent condition and have been properly maintained. :D

Boots: Vans Switch (N Series) Isotope and Mach. Bindings: Switch A66 N Series (no highback) mounted to a 1996 Burton Rippey, 2002 Burton Motion and most recently an old Burton Wire 56 that was used as my first Alpine set-up Although I have been predominately using my alpine set-up over the past three years, I have been pretty impressed and happy with the Vans / Switch N Series set up for soft boot carving and would be hard-pressed to go back to straps.:)

I have owned a Burton Wire 56 as my initial alpine set-up(Burton hard boots and Trenchdigger plate bindings). I now use a longer board for my alpine set up and was thinking about soft boot set-up for my old Burton Wire. The waist width is about 22cm and was going to use my Switch N series step-ins and size 8 Vans Mach(20 degrees front, 15 degrees rear). Do you think there will be too much toe or heel drag? The sidecut on the Wire 56 is about 8.97m. Any opinions, suggestions, etc. is appreciated.
