  1. Just wanted to give a public shout-out to Trenchman for giving me some tips on Sunday. He shared some really helpful observations and it was a lot of fun to ride with him. Like I said on Sunday, Trenchman, I owe you a beer sometime. Thanks for your help!
  2. Sounds great. See you there. I’ll be riding my Arbor board, so I should be easy to find too.
  3. Trenchman, I’ll be there around first chair. I usually park over by Buck. What’s a good way to meet up?
  4. It looks like I'll be up at Crystal this weekend. Gotta prep the boards with some colder temp wax first. Anyone around on Sunday?
  5. Oh, man, I'd love to get out to MCC. If I didn't already have a trip to Telluride booked, that would be my big trip for the winter.
  6. I tend to split my time between Nubs and Crystal, but the Boynes and Caberfae are spots I visit too. I try to skip out of work and get some midweek runs in (lighter crowds), but I'm always down for some weekend time too if that's when you happen to be out. I'm just getting going on my carving journey, so I'm sure there's a ton I can get feedback on.
  7. Thanks, Trenchman. I'll shoot you a msg. I took a lesson at Crystal last year and it was helpful, but I know particular instructors can really make a difference and figured if anyone had someone they really liked I send them some business.
  8. I'm getting back into boarding after many years away and carving has been the piece that's really grabbed me. Are there any places in Michigan y'all would recommend where instructors are good at teaching the finer points of carving? I'd call myself an intermediate boarder. I can get around and feel pretty comfortable in various conditions, but I know I'm not getting clean carved turns every time (or maybe ever? lol). Any recommendations on places with quality instructors? Thanks!
