  1. I tend to mix it up. loose on the flats for max stride and glide then buckle as the accent steepens. If I have my heels on, I buckle up, Ha!
  2. The Spark binders are great! Super simple and preform great in all harsh conditions like icing and snow build-up. "I only ski up hill", you will need the tech toes and climbing wires as Xargo mentioned. Phantom has the best climbing wires IMO (I personally do not like the drop-over and rotate style of the phantom bindings, I stand upright when transitioning, AKA not crawling around in the snow, and the Spark binders work great for that! Pop open the gate and slide them off the pucks and into your pack for the uphill!!) I run this on my solid lap-sled as well split, with mellow angles 20˚ Front and 12˚ Back on a super wide 29.8 waist width Donek Hazelwood.
  3. YUP AND YUP, hard on soft is now a thing more than ever. Go hard, stay hard. ha! Custom set of Donek Hazelwoods 173 @ Max width for no, or little drag and seamless swap between lift-served and row-your-own turns!! 20/12 for angles.
  4. So excited to be apart of this! Friday vibes have kicked in!! See y'all soon indeed!
  5. WORD!!!! HA! Holding my fingers back from typing in all caps i'm so excited to get out there and meet the trenching crews!!
  6. Howdy All!!! Lurk'n since the first event, and finally able to join and could not be more excited to meet you all! I'm an all-mountain/all-time Fruit-booter from the "made in MT" isle. Bringing my split for a tour of any sort if there are any takers, or I'm always up for joining!! Excited to test drive some race cars down in Libby next week!!
  7. The Phantoms have been awesome on a solid board IMO. I made the HB plunge in the late 90s early 00s with 4 buckle Garmont mega rides, then the LaSportiva Spector 1.0's. Last season and this so far has been on the Phantoms and they are a great advancement for the all-around boot! Both Side & back country + Solid board resort riding all feel surfy, solid and smooth. Its a good time to go "all in".
  8. Second bump for fix-it-sticks!! Easily adapt for boot, board and binding fixes. A little heavy but simple and POWERFUL. Those and a adjustable box cutter knife is all I keep in my kit, along with some replacement fasteners of course.
