  1. Hey guys I live here in mammoth I can keep u updated on the conditions at mammoth and June, with the warm weather, condition are spring at best , frozen corduroy in the a.m. giving way to slush in the afternoon . Judging by the forcast this week, things aren't likely to change any time soon ,Mammoth is probably the best bet do to coverage but u have the crowds I'll see if I can get accuratnse report on the true conditions at June before the weekend . Looking forward to connecting with some of you guys and making some turns it's been kind of lonely up here for many of years with just a handful of local carvers who I rarely see !
  2. If this is your first time on a carving hard boot setup don't worry to much about the exact angles and stance, your close enough to start, I ride all different stance width and angles depending on the board length and turning characterises. your biggest issue in riding a soft set-up and hard boot set up is they are nothing alike.A soft set up board edges are engaged with a toe heel lift and roll motion your front hip is facing the nose your rear hip is facing the rear,on a hardboot setup your upper torso is facing the nose of the board with hands in front not hanging behind you. The carve is initiated with angulation of the knees into the hill with a lateral movement from your hips and to go heel side you roll your legs across the board to the opposite side and drop your hips toward the hill all this while keeping a aggressive posture and shoulders square to the nose. That's just one of many carving techniques. The point is your going to have to rethink and relearn how you ride a snowboard in away you may have never experienced, but you can do it it's just way different you just can't ride it like a traditional soft set up and expect to carve well it just takes practice.Good luck!!!
  3. Just got a Donek 185 rev from Bresseomatic, rode it for the first time the other day with him at Mammoth mountain in some semi soft conditions and got introduced to some inverted air time, that hurt, took it out the other day on some firm corduroy and man what a blast, one of the hardest turning gripping boards I've ever ridden. It locks in on a turn like it's on a rail,it has a 14-20 scr the 14 gets you in to the turn quick but the 20 shoots u out like a cannon you have to ride it super aggressive but its a hoot to ride, some of the hardest and fastest turns I've ever made on a snowboard, you just have to commit and trust the insane edge grip. June mountain is a perfect place to let it run I'm going to try to get over there and join you guys on the 21st of March pray for more snow!!
  4. Are the burton race plates three or four hole inserts if four I'm interested
