  1. Seattle 948 Hi, I've been searching for boots for some time. I am new to alpine and have been looking for gear. Im a size 10 soft boot, 27 mondo point. I have a fairly wide foot. 27cm long foot. Thanks Dean
  2. @ srodeo These bindings are sweet for soft boot carving. The cant and lift options are great but they need to be periodically checked for loose screws. The front highback is canted or twisted towards the nose which is nice. Depending on how far you move them forward, it would have been nice if those were a little more adjustable but overall these are awesome.

Great board, plenty of life and edge. Used for about one season. Asking $300 OBO or trade for alpine gear. Looking for alpine boots 27 mondo.
  4. Are these still for sale. If so shoot me an email at dbeyer@me.com
  5. Ill send you a message once I get that Flux capacitor Dean
  6. The title pretty much says it all. Looking for 27 mondo boots. here are some pics of the MFR. Board is in awesome shape. Texture on bottom is all wax and dirt that was saturated in to hot wax. The edges have no nicks. Great all mountain board. If you would like more pictures to verify condition send an email to dbeyer@me.com.
  7. I have a prior MFR 165 ish. Would you be interested?
  8. Is this still available? Would you be willing to trade plus cash as well? I have a MFR. I'm looking for a 4x4 or ATV Thanks Dean
  9. Im looking at another burton pj on crags goofy. What do I do about the binding holes? I can't mount my Cateks on this thing right? It comes with a pair of what look like soft boot bindings Thanks
  10. What kind of bindings are used on these?
  11. I am actually looking at another board similar to this. Its a burton. What do you do about the binding holes? The board comes with what looks like soft boot bindings. Its an asymmetric board. Thanks
  12. Here is the link to the hard attack vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kyKvAUOkNG0. Here is a pic of an assymetrical board I was looking at. Its a 93 Pj burton. Goofy I think. Why does it have soft boot bindings? Do you think this has the five hole pattern? I'm looking for a cheep way to get some more edge hold than a prior 178 spearhead or 181 pow stick and still have some versatility of the groomers. The guys in catapult seem to be doing well on both. You think I could find something cheap that will do what I'm talking about?
  13. @ jonny, So the heels are spendy. Like $70 or more? That stinks. And there is also an additional adapter? Also, that seems like a ton of torque being applied to a screwed in piece of plastic. Does anyone have safety problems with step ins. Like the heel ripping off or something? Even when screwed down, in a hard wreck if you torque it hard I could see any threads holding a heel on getting ripped out. The reason I was hoping to go this route is that the set up i wanted to buy is in my price range. Board and step ins for 250. If I can pick up boots for less than a hundred bucks i'd be happy. Is that realistic? Also I had another random question. I managed to find some oldschool asymmetrical board on craigs list. Its a Burton race board from the 90's. The board looked very similar to what the guys were riding in the catapult hard attack vids. It had soft boot bindings set up on it. Those guys weren't using softies were they? they were going so fast I couldn't tell but it almost looked like they were. At any rate. Those guys were shredding harder than I've ever seen on those boards. And on all different terrains. Could you have that kind of versatility with any alpine board. Considering how old those vids are, if I could get into a cheap set of gear like what they were using so I could shred hard just about anywhere and lay it over I would be super stoked.
  14. I've got a question about boots. I am looking at a used set up but the bindings are step ins. Step in TD2's. Do all alpine snowboard boot work for step in bindings, or do they have to be step in specific boots? If they do have to be specific, I'm guessing they will be more expensive than a regular boot. Would it be possible to find a beginner pair for 100<$ Thanks
  15. @ old snowboards The purchase isn't a done deal. The set up is TD2 step ins and paired with a Volk 178 Renn tiger at 250 for the set. The guys boots were too big. I measured my foot length up against a wall and got 10.625 inch which is exactly 27cm. So I would be a 27 mondo. However, my Dads foot is one cm larger than mine, and he can fit in his old TNT carbons (although very cramped and squished) and still buckle up the boot. I cannot get any of the top buckles down on top because of my calf size. I would consider snowboard boots over the ski boots if they are reasonably priced. Another idea I've had was to purchase the additional parts from Catek to get my dads catek soft boot set up to a hard boot set up, then use his ski boots and ride one of our own boards. Apparently my dad has been trying to get a hold of them for years about it. I emailed them last week and haven't heard back, but I haven't called them yet.
