  1. UPZ 299mm would be same as MP27. There is a thread regarding boot size. oh. Here it is. http://www.bomberonline.com/VBulletin/showthread.php?30607-Sole-Length-Database
  2. Smart!! I just came back from WT and am very disappointed on slope condition. They turned off snow guns at 9:30. and when I left it was 57'F at parking lot. WTF. On top of that, they set up the small gates for kids on top of SnowPark and the bottom left for teens. That' allow all other people in middle since the left (from top) is not covered yet. Oh... easily 15min. wait on EZ rider chairs by 10:30. Then, went to HomeRun & SnowDancer. By 11, they got all cut-up and chopped and pushed snow here and there. That caused a lot of brown spots and couldn't trust base depth. Here is WT's BS snow condition that is still up on WT website. Now I need to clean the base & check edges if any area got rocked. Stay away there tomorrow. At least Monday or later would be better.
  3. I will go up for just morning tomorrow. (until 11-ish) It looks like WT will make snow whole morning till temp. goes up. If anyone comes up, let's ride together. I will ride mostly SnowPark and few labs on Fanciful/SnowDancer if they are opened.
  4. Dave, I'm also planning to go to Bretton Wood, used to be my home ground years back, on last week of March with family. I'm prepping my kids to like ski and am quiet happy with progress of my 5 years old. Which resort are you thinking? I can say BW has the most carving and family friendly slopes among NH resorts.
  5. Sorry Dave. I can't make it on Friday due to work. Instead, I will go WT on Saturday morning. I know it's going to be a jungle but better than nothing.
  6. The reason I ride narrow stance on good amount of camber in middle is based on what I found from testing on variety of decks, which comes down to effective ways of bending middle or applying force down to edges, same as 'Gilmour's Bias' or 'Outward Cants', if I understood them correctly. I found newer decks were made with thoughtful decambered/SCR to do those things w/o effort or adjustments.
  7. How generous you are. If my schedule works out on Friday, I will gladly take you offer and I'll chip-in for gas too. I did it last season alone when we had the last storm on March, I couldn't just let that opportunity slide and took 6 hours driving with 1.5 hours on lift, which comes down to less than 2 hours of riding but never regret that. Today's WT Cam shows dirts on middle of trails (exhibition, snowpark, jib junction, and most of all others) due to last few days of 60s temp. I will probably know by Wednesday night and let you know.
  8. My stance is vary by what board i'm riding. For new tech./race boards (decambered nose and no or little camber in middle), I use 21" stance. For old toys (huge camber in middle), I use 18-19" stance. I generally go by a formula that was posted in Extremecarving.com few times. Recommending Stance = [(Height / 3.5) + (Inseam x 0.6)] / 2 Most importantly, the above is 'Recommending' stance length to start with. Each individual has one's preference on each board..
  9. Mark, we rode till 2:30 since my kid was in the ski school till 3. Also it was my first day on snow and of course I've taken Aleeve since. :) Usually I or we are in Farside if it is opened. We will see again for sure. Dave, we keep missing each other. I can't for tomorrow. Since it is getting warmer next few days, I am thinking after 16th or 17th. I will post when I'm going up also. How's your new stick treating you?
  10. Base is good. SnowPark was completely covered but top 1/2 section under lift was closed as usual. Farside is still not opened though. Snow was soft since they were making snow til 10. Temp. only went up to 36 today with winds so snow didn't turned to mush/slush. If tomorrow's temp. holds like today, it will be good. se7ven and I had a blast today. We tested cambered boards with new tech, old tech, and WC design. We noted findings and rode accordingly and it was AWESOME. We saw a donek carver with deeluxe 700 from a chair but weren't able to meet.
  11. did you ride? How was it? i'm going up WT tomorrow morning. I couldn't go ladt Sunday due to a car problem. I will be at there with se7en for a full day. Hope to see other carvers.
  12. True but you learn a lot by doing that. Sometimes we tend to focus on distance rather than type of shots (shape or trajectory, or spin control). Playing 18 holes with a club is a drill to practice them. By the way, i do have more alpine snowboards than # of irons. ;)
  13. Ok... long wait is going to be ended this coming Sunday (12/30). I will be at first of chair, if my my kid goes into his ski school bldg w/o hassle. Will bring my rock board (Madd) for the condition I don't know. Maybe se7en will join me with his secret weapon.
  14. As title said, I am looking for Phiokka bindings parts, especially a rear bail block (standard, no step-in). I am guessing the bail blocks are same for PH-1, PH-69, or others OEM ones. Let me know if you have one.
  15. Baked once and in great shape and condition. No footbed. They're from Scarpa boots but OEM Intuition Ultralon foam liners. they are for size 285. I wear MP28 boots. I used a couple times for my alpine boots but I decided to use UPZ stock liners (plastic embedded) for performance. SOLD
  16. Like F2. Standard (not step-in). Cant disks, No Lift disks. Will fit mp24-31. They're in very good condition (See Photos) Will ship US for FREE (USPS Priority flat-rate box). Little more for Canada. US$129 PayPal as a gift.
  17. Yup. 1 year manufacturer warranty? I doubt that current burton customer service or warranty department knows the existence of Factory Prime.
  18. softbooter from 93. introduced to hardbooting on 97. Injured ankles while softbooting on 00 and 02 not able to ride and got back to snow on 07. Found BOL on 09 and 99% hardbooting since. (Few BXing runs on softboots with FR1 ..but not anymore)
  19. Well.. I wished to score the Fintec heels so that I can swap boards with Dave but obviously they were sold to someone else. Anyway, I got beaten by few seconds (someone's email was faster than my posting) for scoring good deals in BOL. So as Dave said, you never know that you were first inline. Good deals comes around through..
  20. Wow.. nice. Anyway, welcome to BOL. I've been checking Snowshoe FB and noticed they've been making snow last few days for the opening day. Let us know how the condition is and trail info I heard SilverCreek is good for carving but can't remember the trails.
