  2. Cleaning out my gear closet. I have a pair of Deeluxe Suzukas with Thermofit liners size 28.0 Mondo. These boots were used for less than 12 days on snow. Very good condition. I cooked the liners only once, so they can be cooked again. I did not like the fit and moved to a different boot. $185 includes shipping... 3. Cleaning out my gear closet. I have a Burton Speed 178 for sale. It has been on snow about 10 full days, that's it. Very good/excellent condition. Edges and base are perfect. Top sheet has some residue from a stomp pad that was applied and then removed (this can be removed with some WD-40). $175 includes shipping Picture Here: http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=11joq3o&s=5 Thanks, -Nick
  4. I taught alongside Jeff in the mid-90's at Beaver Creek. He ripped in soft boots and hard. A soft spoken guy who genuinely cared about the "health" of the snowboarding community, he truly believed in bringing new people to the mountain to teach them the sport he loved. After I moved away from Vail Valley, I would always look for him and catch up over a few runs when I made my annual pilgramages back to Vail/Beaver Creek. He was a real ambassador for this sport and will be missed...
  5. Please let me know if you have any extras. Bomber is out of stock until the end of march and I have 2 trips to Vail in March. Need help! Thanks in advance... -Nick
  6. I would be glad to take this off your hands. Sent you an e-mail... Thanks
  7. Between my girlfriend and I we have had a total of 5 minis. Sent two back for battery issues, and the ones we got in return were only marginally better. The other one simply stopped working. Here is what you need to know... There was a lawsuit that apple settled relating to the Mini and its abysmal battery performance. It may or may not be worth your time (I decided against it), but go here if you's like to learn more: http://www.appleipodsettlement.com/ At the end of the day, the Mini was a bad product. The Nano is a replacement device that has a battery life 4X as long and is a much better player all around...
  8. Anyone have recommendations for a good shop to get a tune in Aspen? Thanks in advance...
  9. Think I was a bit aggressive with my pricing on the board. So... I'd part with it for $125 or Best Offer.
  10. Certainly. Here are the Specs: Overall Length: 1640 mm Running Length: 1440 mm Nose Length: 150 mm Tail Length: 50 mm Waist Width: 190 mm Sidecut Depth: 22 mm Sidecut Radius: 11.79 m
  11. No worries D-Sub. Thanks for the help! I think I may have figured it out. Let's see...
  12. Thanks D-Sub... Hope this works. I've tried to attach two pics of the board, but as technically challenged as I am, for some reason the third pic of the bindings is not cooperating...
  13. For Sale: - Used 4 days total. Burton Factory Prime 164 from 2001 (Black with Red Sidewalls). Pristine condition. Some very minor cosmetic damage on the topsheet. $200 or Best Offer. - Burton Race Plates from 1995. Still in excellent shape (they were my backup bindings and have been used a total of 30 days over the years). $40 Or Best Offer. Pics below...
  14. Wondering if there is a methodology for computing a rider's weight and matching it to an appropriate snowboard. There has always been a general amount of discussion on this board about what a riders weight needs to be in order to purchase certain equipment (particularly boards and bindings). I know that a 220 LB rider clearly shouldn't purchase a 140 cm board, but besides for general rules of thumb, is there a more "formulaic" approach to determining what board characteristics a rider should look for and consider based on their weight? Obviously the aggressiveness of the rider comes into play, and I for one have always made every effort to ride the gear before buying it, but what about a newbie who doesn't have that option? Just curious...
  15. Thanks. I found a used Prior 4x4 that will work perfectly...
  16. I'm looking to expand my quiver to include a board that can travel a bit better in powder, crud, bumps, etc. I'm a big guy (200+ lbs.) that rides aggressively. Let me know if anyone is looking to get rid of a board that would work for me. Thanks...
  17. With the exception of Buttermilk, Beaver Creek takes better care of their snow than anyone in the business. I'm particularly fond of Centennial (upper Centennial in particular). They host World Cup races on that run, and when they groom it, there is nothing better. Steep, wide and perfect for carving trenches...
  18. Thanks for the input guys. Looks like I need to dig up some 4-hole discs or upgrade to some Bomber TD2s! Unfortunately I'm not riding as much as I used to, so the prospect of dropping another chunk of change on new bindings in addition to the new board is less than appealing (particularly since I have 3 perfectly good pairs of raceplates ready to go.)
  19. Thanks Bob. Unfortunately I think I threw away the 4-hole disks that came with all my race plates years ago. All I've got are the 3-hole disks that I use to mount them to my Burton boards. What now?
  20. OK. I apologize in advance if this sounds like a completely naive question. Quite frankly I'm not terribly "handy" when it comes to setting up my gear, and I searched the board and was unable to find a concrete answer. I have ridden Burton equipment since '89 and nothing else (I can see some of you rolling your eyes!) I am looking to add to my quiver (Factory Primes & Speeds) and want to purchase an all-mountain board that works a bit better in powder and the choppy stuff; something akin to the Prior 4WD or the Donek Axis. My question is this: Assuming I want to transfer a pair of my Race Plates to the new non-Burton board, what additional equipment, if any, do I need? Do I need to purchase a new center-disk to accomodate the bindings? What's the genral rule here? Also, any insight you want to give me on Axis vs. 4WD or other similar boards would be welcome... Many Thanks, -Nick
  21. Surefoot in NYC has done a good job for me in the past. They are expensive, but good. Located on Third Avenue at 69th Street
