  1. Thanks for the guidance Chris Looks like he has a 167 and is looking for a longer AX..like 174 Chris
  2. Donek AX167 + TD3 package Excellent condition board used very little as I live South of the Mason-Dixon line (northern Virginia)...hasn't seen snow in 3 years. Awesome all mtn carving rig for mixed conditions. Sidewalls, base, and edges are all in great shape. Minor rust spot on edges. Never run through a grinder and plenty of life left in the board. Standard TD3 with purple E-rings and one 6° and one 3° plate for tuning your optimal stance. Asking $650 shipped to the lower continental 48 states. Not interested in parting out to sell separately.
  3. Well used SB325 boots in good working condition. Size 27 mondo/ 9- heat moldable intuition liners allow for custom size/fit adjustment. DISCLAIMER: CRACK IN LEFT BOOT LOWER SHELL- inside edge near ball of foot...explains the low price...does not seem to impact performance. Probably "softens" flex somewhat. - includes once molded intuition liners: comfortable and warm - all buckles function properly -heel and toe sole pads are worn but totally functional -buyer to pay shipping - no returns or exchanges Posted on eBay http://m.ebay.com/itm/261364832152?nav=SEARCH&sbk=1
  4. My season is over...I just got back from a great week in Beaver Creek and as my middle age muscles recover I had a few questions and comments for the community. First of all, at the end of last year I picked up a Donek AX167 and Bomber BTS set. Moving up from a 10 year old Burton 162UP my riding has never been better. I can't say enough positive things about both of those products. My thanks to Sean and Fin for making the gear that made my vacation a real treat. I feel the BTS really helped my old Raichle 325T in the comfort department and helped me expand my range of motion through turns in varied terrain. Unfortunately I cracked a boot behind the toebox under the first buckle (way too much fun) and need to replace them... So which is more durable the 325 or 225? Which would you recommend for a 175lb rider with blue BTS springs for all mountain riding (no racing)? The Donek AX was so versatile and predictable in the mixed conditions I experienced all season at Whitetail in PA I was totally confident all over Beaver Creek last week. We had every condition from chalky corduroy (President Fords), to slushy bumps (Loco) with early morning frozen slush (Golden Eagle) then wrapping up the week with 5-7 inches of fresh...no problems for the Axxess. When shopping for the AX I agonized chosing the length. In 24 years of riding the 167 is the longest board I have ridden. Most of my riding is on little east coast hills so I figured that was all the board I needed. Now that my kid is 15 it is more exhausting and difficult to keep up with him on his skis...especially on days 4 & 5 of our annual trip to CO. I know I need to work out more and I have tried getting him on a board but those are different posts all together. The reality I am faced with is that I think I need 'more' board. I know I'll get more stability at greater speed but I am curious as to whether a longer all mountain board is more or less fatiguing to ride over 5 back to back days. I seem to recall comments on this site about the Madd 158 demanding more of a rider than the 170. Would those of you with extensive quivers say a 177 (AX) is less fatiguing to ride all week long relative to the 167? I am assuming a 177ish board will be harder to work through bumps but overall considering the increased weight and larger sidecut on the longer board should I expect to run out of gas earlier in my vacation? Then there is the whole metal thing...would those of you fortunate enough to ride the marvels of modern metallurgy comment on energy expenditure and fatigue riding a decambered nose metal board relative to a standard glass board? I wish I could demo all the goodies out there but as we all know it is not always easy to get to where the gear is available...any and all comments are welcome and appreciated. Thanks, Chris
  5. $10 to enter...what else can you do for $10 that can be that much fun?
  6. Thanks you can send pics to eco4arcs@hotmail.com
  7. For what weight is this flex designed? Pics please...I'm interested
  8. Great to have another carver at Whitetail... I've ridden with Lou a few times...though I don't get out as much as he does. I have an old Burton Ultra Prime 162 (similar to Lou's) if you are looking to try out a carving board. No spare boots though. Are you Goofy or Regular? Post to the ride board or email next time you head out. Chris
  9. I was at Liberty today and carved from 8:56 til 5:26 Pretty much stayed on the backside blues...I think one is called Sidewinder. Coverage was patchy but not as bad as I expected...used my old Burton UP 162 rock board and actually had a good day...even played on the bumps some...not too crowded...did my last 5 runs on White lightning...a very short black that was surpisingly nice and firm in the early evening. I had fresh wax and didn't have too much trouble clearing slush bogs and brown patches. All that sugar was better than the boiler plate at Whitetail last Saturday. I would say get there at the open and do a half day. ps - actually talked to a Russian guy that asserted even though the trails are nicer at Whitetail he thinks the snow is consistently better at Liberty because of the mountain's orientation...anybody else have an opinion on this...I've only been to Whitetail twice.
  10. Heading to Liberty on Saturday and if the 70 degree weather permits might even carve up what's left of the snow. Loupa5 said he'd be there as well. The more the merrier...

  12. Well is wasn't exactly SES but another hardbooter @ Whitetail was more than I expected. Lou, it was great meeting you and making some turns...I have to say I definitely bonded with the Axxess...took it back over to Limelight and Fanciful (nicked the base a bit w/ the melt off) and it really performed in those mixed up trash conditions...might be a good choice for you. I'll email the video from my cell...
  13. Is this a 21.5cm waist width AM or the wider model? Thanks, Chris
