  5. http://ca.news.yahoo.com/canadas-helie-u-skier-sullivan-crash-downhill-training-20101228-055228-057.html BORMIO, Italy - Canadian skier Louis-Pierre Helie and American Marco Sullivan were both airlifted to a local hospital after crashing in a World Cup downhill training session Tuesday. Helie’s crash was more serious, involving a hard landing, and the native of Berthierville, Que., was picked up from the icy Stelvio course by a helicopter. The Canadian team said he suffered a head injury. Local organizers said Helie briefly lost consciousness then woke up during the flight to the hospital, adding he also twisted his left knee. Austrian Klaus Kroell posted the fastest time of two minutes 1.56 seconds. Robbie Dixon of Whistler, B.C., was the top Canadian, finishing seventh in 2:03.16. Sullivan, the first skier out of the gate, lost control while landing a jump midway down. He eventually got up and skied down under his own power, and then was brought by helicopter to a hospital in Sondalo. Sullivan was on the verge of losing consciousness but then recovered, organizers said, adding he had no significant injuries. If Sullivan misses Wednesday’s race, it will be another blow to a U.S. squad already missing two other downhillers. Andrew Weibrecht is skipping this race after dislocating his left shoulder in training last week, and Erik Fisher has a bruised knee after hooking a downhill gate in Val Gardena earlier this month. All my tracked covered in 1 hour and the best ever: noone was there playin, no line up (((: BLACK MOUNTAIN was less windy only on Panorama towards the big turn right after RIDEOUT wind was funneled thru otherwise was fine and visibility was great....I was all day with POW board stayed on RAVEN chair on run #1,2,3&4 (Crazy Raven, Cayote, First Sun & Black on Black) BTW, I measured run#4 angled is 38-40*:eek:no wonder they call "Double Black diamond", the steepest part on #1 is 28-30*, this run 3/4 of it was more relaxing and deep deep POW. ROME-173 is an awesome board, float, turn and carved...pixs was taken on #1 run Cheers RT
  12. Ouch, sorry to hear... Goulb anything to speed up the recovery: Yogurt, milk, calcium etc. Try not to move 'em around too much. Is that from side impact? RT
  13. The lowest F40/R35 stance 21" Cant F3*/R3* but I might have to change F cant to 6* to minimize upper inner calf pressure due to wider stance. (FYI: Inseam 32.5") RT

If u do seen markings; how many deck with marking and w/o marking? 2)Is the the DUCK BILL length (from the it nose to the front point load) is 1/2 of the the length from the front point load to the rear point load? 19. PRIOR WCRM-173 WIDE COOL board, thanks to Blueb suggestion. This board replace my 4WD, carve as an race board, float on slush, chops. The lower angle setting on the bindings for my MP27 make possible to play on most POW condition. 173 is good length thru (crowded) "meat gates". This board 90% will be carried.
  20. OPEN FOR DISCUSSION: I've seen pixs of Extended front part of APEX Plate, I was wondering the reason to add more weight to it. I've also seen pixs where they attached some kind of hard foam underneath the plate on the front end. After seen Blueb KST-185 delam http://www.bomberonline.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=31614&page=3 on the plate (the plate is fine) 1) I wonder if this nose shape cud have saved his board? The extended nose shape is intended to reduce/limit the board bending? 2) When front part of the board push the front plate "nose" end up, the plate will be bend in the centre, wud it that be defeat the purpose of having a stable platform? RT
  21. Auch, sorry about the board bud. Hope u r ok. Were u at Cypress when it happend? I play same board last week and today on crappy snow, so far so good under my 205lbs w/o gears (cross fingers). This WCRM 177 and the wide 173 is my fav decks, I always start with 177 and when turn to slush/chop I switch to 173 wide. RT
  22. I'm not that bad:o, I use to have 2 from the line up...the rest went to YVR Carvers...I let one of them go...I kind a regret it but at least it went to a good home .
  23. Oxygen FP-67 I blew the insert after 2 seasons but this deck dont have metal in it (C pix). Cud be foam core. The Lime around 04/05 (I think) and The black one 08/09 both rides awesome and dont kill your bank. These 2 decks have metal in it. 08 has decambered nose and lot less springy. No bad experience with these decks but I have less hour ridin due too many to choose :p Stay safe, happy snow. RT
