  1. back on the board with extreme caution, good snow pack here so I'll get a couple more days of spring skiing in as onewheel season cranks up
  2. Guess I'll join the list. Broke my clavicle into 4 pieces dodging straightliners a couple weeks after MCC. 11 $500 screws and 2 $1000 plates and 4 weeks later I'm back out on snow the 1st time, on skis so I won't fall over, and a 12 yr old snowboarder takes me out from behind! I am so done with weekends. I was given the choice of non surgical maybe 70-80% chance of full recovery over months. Opted for surgery to get back to work sooner. Glad I did. Arm is usable now and I'm back riding in 1 month instead of several.
  3. I can see where even with f/intecs making it easier to release, because you're only reaching to the boot cuff, if there is a lot of pressure on the pins it may not be easy. I like the simple durability of my 27 year old nitros, and if you ever come across a pair I'll buy'em from ya. I tried intecs but the stretch/flex in the plastic actuation levers inside the heel left me stuck in the binding, I ask Fin to make those parts out of metal on the new fintecs but he said "not cost effective. too much cable actuated mechanism in too small of a space imo.
  4. I think that's right 4x4 insert pattern for skiblades.
  5. do you have the center discs for theses to mount them?
  6. one of the groomers at MCC was teleing w/long pole. found this, now I'm interested
  7. I'll lace the features if there's no one around, take a small hit to legitimize; if it's getting used I stay the **** out of the way some week day afternoons it's the only groom left.
  8. I settled here in the middle 30 yrs ago. been 45* f since all boards were 0/45. Duckfoot hurts my hip/knee and full alpine with no splay makes me feel like the shoes are tied together. surfs up and switch is is no problem. don't listen to me though I think laces and straps suck to use.
  9. isn't chatGPT just high tech plagiarism?
  10. I ski on a snowboard...take it for what it is.
  11. I rode the "L.L.Bean" Kildy flex back to back with the Madd bx. The Madd was lighter more nimble and carved better but to be fair the the flex plate on the Kildy gave the soft board under it some serius edge hold. the Bean in action
  12. 3 piece splits have been around for awhile, but nothing carve specific https://www.splitboard-power.fr/en/categorie-produit/splitboard-en/
  13. yeah, you won't be runnin that one out
  14. Motet play Blackhappy peghead You're welcome
  15. The shape is not far from my experimental performer but without rubber straps I'm hoping the the 30yr old muscle memory kicks in. Firm today at 49*N but might get a few inches tomorrow to flail in
  16. I love sowing confusion with my poles and stepin "ski boots"
  17. I got a set of DGSS springs with a pair of backlands looks the same. Selling cheap if anybody wants them. I'll be using phantom levers for the walk mode.
  18. Inaugural MCC was epic. If it wasn't that steep the grocer would've bogged down and gotten stuck! photo via Softbootsurfer from the lift I have had deeper days at Alpental and Schwietzer (in previous decades) that were snorkel worthy, had to keep you mouth closed and poke your face out the snow wave coming of your chest to breathe and to see the next turn. The whiteroom is not a myth.
  19. I will bring a few old hardboot worthy "softy" boards, 165-180 range, to loan out (for sale cheap if you want)
