  1. Uhm. . . http://www.ctvbc.ctv.ca/servlet/an/local/CTVNews/20081216/BC_blackcomb_gondola_081216/20081216?hub=BritishColumbia
  2. So back in 2003 I had no clue who Alexa Loo was. I only talked to her because I took a telemark clinic with a friend of hers and saw the bunch of them at a mtb consignment sale at Crankworx in Whistler. She gave me her business/promo card by Sundog. Ah well. . . Home-grown heroes that I've met; it'll be fun to watch the team leading up to the 2010.
  3. Thanks for the heads up, but still looking for a 200cm
  4. Snow covers the slopes, I hope winter comes quickly, Have Tanker to sell?
  5. I'd like to go, so I worked up a schedule with an event that I'm interested in for every day of the Olympics: I'm up to $3,000. . .It might be easier for me to get into the national SBX team than getting the tickets I want, though, I've never raced before. Ahahah. So I submitted a volunteer application first, and, will figure out the ticket thing in a bit.
  6. Do you have a 200cm Tanker you're willing to sell? I'd like to hear from you! -- Stephen
  7. I work all year long in a desk job. Swivel-chair spread sets in if I'm not careful.I remember the previous season started with lots of sore abs at the end of the day, and breathlessness after hiking. So adding more core and cardio work on top of what I normally do. Starting some kite-boarding, and longboarding this summer.
  8. Awesome choice eh! Well, west coast has its extremes, J.P. at my roommate's hearing was hot.I think that judge is a Member of the Order of Canada.
  9. MCL's still off and I couldn't bring my 4wd. On softies riding easy. Anyway, apartment's number is 604 932 6545 (I'm JSL). Maybe Sunday though, want to be able to ride on Friday for some demo rides.
  10. Yeah I guess that suggestion did come across, uhm, oops; I shouldn't compose posts when cramming stuff between batches and reports. I'd just received mixed news from an interview I had in Vancouver. It was a bit disheartening (but had other leads) so when I saw. . . . . .I got a bit envious of Vancouver's proximity and presence to significantly more interesting mountains. Anyway, I have it even less wrong since lately in the range of duties I do, to design (applications, reports, systems) is more interesting than to support (unsophisticated technology users). Hm...
  11. IT Applications Support Analyst, but, I want BlueB's and Dave*'s jobs instead.
  12. So you're also heading in from Toronto eh? I'm heading over to Whistler this Saturday but leaving the 20th; maybe I'll be able to catch up with you guys before heading to the airport?
  13. Up to now, all sellers of snowboards I've approached insist that USPS will not accept a snowboard and worse, insist on UPS. Regarding USPS, I know that's not the case. So I won't buy from anyone who ship via UPS only. I'm not the only one who considers it an irritation, there's a class action filed in the Province of British Columbia: http://www.poynerbaxter.com/UPS.htm
  14. A $350 USD snowboard of 158 cm shipped from Vermont to Ontario cost $50 USD for shipping via UPS. The seller sent it via UPS. For that, I paid an extra $100 CAD of fees and taxes to UPS when the snowboard was delivered.
