  1. Any chance I can call you or email ? Bill B
  2. Thanks for the replies. What about cork cut in the shape of the E rings and using that under the ring ?
  3. Hi all, does the thickness or rigidity of E rings change with time ? Last season I noticed some play in my connection to the board . I bought new firmer TD2 rings, problem solved . This past weekend I went to try my 2 other boards , all with 2nd board kits and both of them had play that I don't remember last year. Any solutions , considering I can't buy new TD2 E rings right now ? Thanks
  4. I think today I road the best groom ever at jiminy and they had plenty of snow but haven't made any these past few days
  5. I'm not sure you would say I have a particular style except I want to have fun . I guess I'm a fun style. I have been riding at least 25 yrs. Hardboots for 10 . Not a great carver but a good snowboarder. Usually angles at 55 or 60 . After recently reading this thread I dropped my rear foot down to 35 last weekend and left my front at 60 . I rode so much better and felt much more comfortable . So I think I need to work on my pure boarding style
  6. You will see how great it really is when your 20 yr old daughter wants a season pass or when on a spur of the moment she goes further north because the mountain she drove to is closed due to no snow or how she camps on the college ski trip line so she gets a spot on the bus in the morning or when your 17 yr old daughter sees you eyeing an untracked line and jumps in front of you. You will see how good it feels that you gave them the same thing that you have or in my case the same thing that my father gave me.
  7. i am the same weight and size , i have it in the 162 i think. i find it a great all mountain board. i usually pick it over my carver
  8. in the mid 80's i skied on the dos eqius pro mogul tour in colorado, won some contests later in vt. and just loved bumps. as i migrated to boarding i still loved the bumps on my board, but my mid 40's body has difficulty with bumps, thats why i moved towards carving. but i still try them. my 12 yr old daughter is following in my bump fetish and can get thru them with style. if bump/boarding comps come back she will be shoe in.
  9. i picked up f2 speedcross earlier this season and it is my all mountain board. bumps, crud , powder, human slalom. inexpensive from the house
  10. conditions were awsome yesterday and today. 6 inches of new snow today. should be good and packed by sunday. have fun
  11. Dave , on behalf of the berkshires hard booters ,thanks for arranging this(notice i said hardbooters ,not carvers, i dont consider myself a carver yet) unfortunatly i wont be able to attend but i will be at the mountain thurs and fri with my older girls getting one last shot in for the season.i will post a conditions report friday to get all the carvers fired up, also good luck with the new job, we will have to check the new place out. Bill
  12. bricky, we met last year at mac tracks , hope all is well. i was thinking of trying bellaeyre this thurs or fri with my kids. how are the conditions this late. we typically ride at jiminy and love it , i basically grew up there . we stay at my parents but i would like to find my own mt. that is a little more affordable,ie realestate, tickets, and closer to home . i see you have been giving it alot of good press , Bill

  14. we were only there for friday, me and my 2 oldest played hooky and shot up thurs night for yesterday. we are not around for the weekend .so ill miss your one piece snow suit but it sounds really cool
  15. Dave, iwas looking for you at jiminy today. what an unbelievable day .i have never been able to turn like i did today. the mountain was empty and we were able to find corduroy all day. i was amazed at the amount of snow still around.as long as the weather holds up you should be ok for carvers day. i will do my best for that day but the spring is tough with the kids schedules, bill
  16. no problem, the boots are gone already and i have 1 s.f. floor space in my basement
  17. kevin, im in RVC so you would save me the schlepp of bringing them on the train if you could pick them up. im happy to give them away as long as they are used by someone that needs them and not just uses them for parts or dust collectors.if this guy is a fulltime patrol then he is probably broke so he would be welcome to them. even if he is not a full timer he is still welcome to them as long as he needs them.
  18. burton reactor size 29, very little use , never fit right . cheap, pickup only , midtown office. hate to see them wasted . been sitting in the basement for awhile . just had a change of heart, if you promise that you will use them or give them to someone that needs them , and are not going to sell them ,they will be free.
  19. i recently picked up a 161 or 162. great deal from the house. i love it. it turned me into a different rider. coming from an oxygen proton, this board is so much more fun, a little short for me , i am 6 ft ,170lbs.
  20. neil, its funny you should post that. the reason i was not at mac tracks yesterday was because of an accident i had last weekend. if i hadnt had a helmet on i am sure i would have cracked my skull.even with helmet i had a concussion that had me in the hospital all weekend. i lost my memory for 36 hrs.and has been vague all week, i would have trouble telling you what i had for breakfast today. the dr thinks the impact caused me to have a seizure and that is why my memory is so bad. i already bought a new helmet but i wont use it for another week or so, i dont remember how to get to the mountain.DONT EVER GO OUT WITH OUT A HELMET .
  21. phil, i was planning on attending mac tracks this year, i really enjoyed last year. but i had an accident on the slopes this past weekend which will keep me from attending. i just wanted you to know it was not because i did not enjoy last year. i am sure you will plan a great event ,like last year.keep me on your mailing list for next year. hopefully i will be back on the slopes in a few weeks. Bill Bennett
  22. tomppa, keep me posted on what you think of the dalbellos, i also like a soft boot.
