Yah I wondered about the weight thing... unfortunatly this board doesn't list a max weight. Spec says 165+ for the 167cm. Any sugestions for boards that handel my weight that are in this shorter cm range? My 172 is fun But I would like a shorter turn radius. thanks in advance.

Hey gang. Looking for some advice. Anyone have any thoughts on Toe/ Heel lift and stance width on a Nidecker Proto 167cm? I know what I like for my Donek Axis 172 but the Proto rides very different. I am 5'10" 200lb. I have TD2's and DeeLux 325 size 26.5. Any recomends to try are appreciated. Cheers.:)

I thought I was the only person who had one of these. Currently it is displayed high on the "CK Wall of fame" in Berg's Snowboard Shop. I owned and road every model of CK pro model and the Wishbone was one of my favorites. The Wishbone is Based off the 168 Supermodel mold from that year. The cap construction of those boards allowed Burton to build them long w/o making them too stiff. this board combined awsome pop like a freestyle board and the edge hold of a big mountain board. The set back stance gave it effortless float in the pow and the stout built tail provided olli power. Even though it has a slight taper to the shape it carves solid trenches. Kelly and Jake designed the Wishbone and I was told by Burton that the plan was to make it the last official Kelly signature board. The jury is out on that one. This board seems to be very rare. I know a few people who's judgment I trust that like these boards and the EST bindings. I'll put myself down as a FAN. In Fact The new Fish and Custom-X are amazing products. The new EST Bindings are super comfortable and give great board feel. I recommend giving them a try and generate your own apinion.;) I have always had great experiences with Burton. Both when I rode for them in the mid '90's and now as a product buyer. They still set the standards for the industry in their areas of influence. We are all entitled to your opinion based on our experience... Cheers.:D

First off, According to my burton Rep, The EST/ICS systems are designed as a "Burton-to-Burton" only interface. The equipment has not been tested with other binding applications and is not recommended for use with other brands. This applies to Soft bindings too. He did mention that using an older Burton plate binding and the new EST mount disk could work. Again, Not tested. Definitely a "try at your own risk" application. With all the other choices out there for hard boots why not leave this stuff to soft boot applications. Just a thought. Cheers.

As far as the 2 hole disks are concerned, They are reinforced to be used with only 2 screws. Also they are built to only fit Burton bindings. Applying them to other brands is NOT recommended.(according to Burton) They are built a specific way for a reason. Of course I have to say that being a Shop employee.(Now I am covered) But personally I wouldn't trust the 2 hole on anything but Burton. I have seen some tests and attempted some other applications here in my shop. In a couple cases the attachment was OK at best. However, I would not attempt to ride them. Not worth the risk.

Yah I have several rides most are retired and on the wall for display. I currently Ride 3: Donek AX172, Burton Fish 160, Rossi. Works MAG 159(yes I still hit the booters in the park from time to time) Its all good! There ya go...

Hey. I'm going to clean it up, custom tune it and stone the base. Then we'll see if its rideable. It is a regular footer so I think I'll keep it around. After the fact It will lovingly hang up next to the Craig Kelly collection. Cheers.

Hey Yall. It's that time of year again. Start checking your local ski swaps for those smokin deals. I just picked up a super nice Burton PJ7 with bindings for $5!!!! Yah thats 5 bones! Not $50, not $500. Not the typical find for sure. Unbelievable almost. Anyway, Happy Hunting!!!!!

Thanks for the great tips. We had a great morning at Meadows. At least until the snow turned to glue-mixed-mashed-potato(around 12pm). Oh well It was worth it. I'll try to post some pix soon. Favorite runs: Shooting Star and just about anything else off the HR express. Cheers.

Check out the book "Fit to Ski and Snowboard" by Rocky Snyder. He shares a lot of easy to learn/ bang for your buck exercises that stick to basics and work.
