  1. I had a demo by JB during last ECS and I bought a 200 roto finish (I already had a 400). The technique with two Roto Finish (200 and 400) works good. The result is perfect, you can get every day brand new sharp edges with almost no metal consumption. As Nils says, should also works with diamond files. It is also very fast. And the less time you spend sharpening your edges, the more beers you can have!
  2. Thank you Jack for this information, my Flexons are getting wear and I really didn't know how to replace them. The best ski boots I ever had. And they have dealers in Europe. You have just saved my next ski seasons!!!!
  3. I have just received my T700 from BlueTomato. Before odering them, I tried them with the regular liner. M27.5 was really too small (in length) and M28 perfect (my foot was quite tighten but the liner should compress to perfectly fit after couple of days of use). Note that the size of the shell changes between M27.5 and M28. Without liner, I found that M27.5 was a bit to small (less than one finger). So I ordered the M28 (two fingers) with the thermoliners. But these liners are thiner than the regular ones and I am now afraid that M28 might be too long. The thermo liners come without insole. I have to add one, so I expect that with this extra layer, once the liners modled, my boots will fit good. I have the Stratos Pro, and I wanted to change because they fit to wide for my feet. The T700 I received are like 5mm longer than the Head.
  4. Céline, If you want to practice your english while carving, you should consider taking part of the Big Mountain Expression Session organized by some people of this forum as Dr D. And from there, you can easely drive to Fernie, Lake Louise ect... Big Mountain is quite small if you compare with big european resorts, but probably the same size as Zinal. You can find affordable accommodation in the valley at 30 mn drive. With the price of the dollar, it's for cheap at the moment. I was planning to make it, but it seems that it won't be possible for this time. Still thinking about it anyway. Olivier
  5. Hiking when the bears just wake up, thanks for the advice! Would rather go rafting next weekend.:)
  6. Just arrived in Kalispell for two weeks. Too late, Big Mountain is closed, that's sad. Hope to come back next year at the right period. After seeing your pix, my Swoard really wants to come over.:D Olivier
  7. It seems that Oxcess in Swissland is the european Bomber distributor. Contact is heinz@oxcess.ch. Found this information on EC forum (in french:http://www.extremecarving.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1862&start=0). Hope this solution still works, Fin might confirm.
  8. I went to Big Mountain 5 years ago in February and had very good time. I was not yet a snowboarder at this time, I used to ski. It was snowing almost every day, so I spent most of the time in the forest for better visibility. The runs were not groomed (or not groomed as I am used), so if the conditions were perfect for freeride, I am not sure for hard boots. Very few people on the runs and at the lines, so a lot of skiing. You can stay in Kalispell, it's not far from White Fish (15mn) but there is no particular interest. Most of the night life is in White Fish which is more a leisure village, Kalispell being a small city (with couple of goods bars anyway!)
