I sure didn’t intend to put "the community" in a tail spin over this nor did I realize our protest of paypal policy was creating such a stir, so im not sure where to start. I guess we can start with this thing called supply and demand for the last 5 years burton produced alpine gear and the industry was in a glut of excess gear we bought less and less alpine gear at wholesale prices and still had to sell it at or below cost to get it out the door but WE STILL supported it even when every other snowboard dealer had abandon it as nothing more than a gay segment of snowboarding.<O:p></O:p> <O:p></O:p> If you "guys" were not so cheap and paid for gear so the manufactures could stay in business or make money producing the gear you would have more choices, but today there are very few.<O:p></O:p> <O:p></O:p> I would say support the cateck, bomber, priors even if they are more expensive than closeout burton because if they cant keep the lights on you wont have that choice either! <O:p></O:p> There are a few places starting to build race boards again but they are expensive, the closeout boards and bindings are cheap as they are because the manufacture sold them cheap, dealers like us invested in that to support the alpine community and other niche markets.<O:p></O:p> Believe me we had better things to do with 100,000.00 than to invest in what some people would consider old outdated gear just to let it sit in storage as we sold it off, and if you bought that gear from us in the beginning it was much cheaper than today.<O:p></O:p> <O:p></O:p> But as the supply goes down the price goes up, if we could get more we would and it would be different but we cant get more and neither can anyone else until someone starts making it again.<O:p></O:p> <O:p></O:p> There are very few bindings boards and boots left but someone will be stoked to get a board at 199.00 299.00 or 349.00 when everything else is 600, 700, maybe more?<O:p></O:p> <O:p></O:p> Then you will go <O:p></O:p> “God I should have bought 10 of those back when they were cheap”.<O:p></O:p> <O:p></O:p> Funny thing is its not going to get any better for any of us because the dollar is weak all over the world and seams to be slipping every day, our dependence on other countries to supply us with goods is making us weaker so your dollar buys less why do you think the Canadians are buying in America these days?<O:p></O:p> Because the Looney is worth nearly as much as the dollar now<O:p></O:p> <O:p></O:p> LOOK AROUND YOU WHAT IS GETTING CHEAPER? dont look at it as rants most people dont pay attention or even care about what happens in this country and that is unfortunante. i have supported snowboarders and snowboarding for over 20 years take it for what its worth

There have been some posts regarding ebay user u12 saying they have had problems with payment and being untrustworthy because of it, but the truth of the matter is being set up as a personal account on paypal is free of charge and there is no loss risk as long as you take verified payment, ship to a confirmed address and you cant take credit cards. The flip side is if you are set up with a business account you get fees on every transaction regardless of how it is funded and paypal passes on the loss risk to the seller. So there has been confusion trying to explain payment policy and making it easy for buyers for this we apologize.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p> <o:p></o:p> But often buyers don’t read and send unacceptable payment, which is denied. Way to often buyers fail to pay regardless of payment options and negative feedback is left for all non payers regardless of “excuses” often they retaliate with negative feedback on u12.<o:p></o:p> 99% of the negative feedback received is from non-payer retaliation, u12 is not out there ripping off anyone. <o:p></o:p> U12 takes pride in providing hard to find snowboard gear for those who want it but at times supply and demand will dictate price if it is to expensive then don’t buy it but if you do buy and pay you will get what you paid for it’s that simple.<o:p></o:p> U12 takes responsibility for any mistakes made but unfortunately there is little tolerance for ignorance and stupidity (like the uneducated that think g w bush is looking out for America and Americans first) there is a soup nazi mentality if you will, u12 won’t put up with ignorance if there is a problem convey it in a civil tone it will get taken care of
