  1. a lot of the feedback on the xlider site is from people owning both saying the xliders are easier. I assumed the wheels swiveled on both kinds. the swiveled ones would pump faster and easier for sure.

  3. yeah thats one of them. I forget the other ones name but they are quite similar.
  4. once you master that there are two more products out there which are basically the same thing without the center connecting piece:eek: kinda like roller blades mounted sideways with floppy wheels and no connection to your feet. what'll they think of next?
  5. they're a hoot for sure:biggthump have fun just don't attempt anything that resembles downhill without some good afety equipment. slight grades are great hills are suicide
  6. No this is just the regular rate stuff from the site I am sure we can do better. I just know that some of the idaho and alberta folks might make more than one trip and the pass might be a good option for them. It is unusual to have the option to buy it past may. It is part of the name change and anniversary marketing to keep it open thru september. I will update when I get a reply on group rates.
  7. The local pass price is good thru september 30 this year $499.00 for those of you with math disabilities thats less than ten days of regular lift tickets. I urge anyone who might make two trips or who might wish to stay for a little longer to consider getting a pass online prior to the september deadline. http://www.bigmtn.com/?a=store/main&act=st&id=1 if you do let me know so we can adjust numbers accordingly. thanx D
  8. I can see three different fire plumes from my house. two in the bobmarshall wilderness and one west of kalispell out around bitterroot lake somewhere. they look like volcano eruptions:eek:
  9. I found a set of rush ABEC9 rated bearings on ebay that are screaming fast. Also there is a seller called VXB bearings on ebay that has every bearing known to man for sale very reasonable. Decent ceramics for half price etc. I have several different models that they offer and have been impressed with them all. most of them are 25%- 50% of the cost of buying at the local skateshop

  11. not yet they seem a little scattered with all the change going on. Its probably time to rattle their cage again and see if I can get a response.
  12. we 're sorry the party you have requested is no longer at this address he has moved to patagonia where it isn't so ****ing hot:rolleyes: ***I wish**** It is going on 4 weeks of sunny misery. lots of folks enjoying it but I am sort of a winter oriented kinda guy its to damn hot for to long. :angryfire :angryfire

  14. We need to start a club. I am now a proud member of the red ass society. A lady stepped out onto the road just before a corner while I was making a luge run. I drifted wide to avoid her and got into some sand and gravel on the roadway. the luge slid right out from under me and dumped me on my ass. I lost a little left cheek and some right love handle and smashed my left pinkie under the luge when it went. good times:biggthump

He responded to me as well. I mentioned that burton quality wasn't necessarily going to sell the board to a hardbooter and he said that the good folks at ebay suggested he mention burton in order to get hits on the listing. He obviously didn't have a clue its clearly not his board. maybe his kids or the computer illiterate dude's from down the street. Who knows?
  17. I think you have to actually work to legally call it vacation paul:lol:  have fun
  18. the waist is more like 24+cm on a garage. he has a wider board choice on several of his models if you are really looking for a floater or have huge feet. Brian do you know the specs on the 173 you have?
  19. not sure but its possible he's added a longer board since you last talked to him. mines 3 yrs old and there aren't any specs written on the board so I may have my memory confuddled as well. at any rate its a sweet all mtn ride. John is headed for oshkosh with his new airplane patent and 1/4 scale model (very cool) so he's out for a few weeks I will verify when he gets back.
  20. they are all over ebay cheap and our walmart is carrying them now for 99$

  22. actually I was refering to the bushings they come in 3 different hardnesses but none that would rebound enuf for my big behind to call it pumping:lol: the decks are super stiff.

    My first Luge

those are the ones I am looking at. they slide well to which surprised me since they have such a soft feel.
  24. the tboard is more of a downhill carver. very difficult to push on flatground and you have to have it up to speed to balance it. In my opinion its strictly for downhill it will sort of pump depending on your weight class:ices_ange
