  1. sorry I missed this post earlier. the injury you described could easily cause several things to happen. the hip joint, the illium or SI joint, the knee and the ankle could all subluxate or misalign enough to cause the pain you describe. It is likely that one or more did. a muscle pull, tear or strain would have healed by now so we know there is more to it than that. I would recomend a visit to a good chiropractor. the ones with the sports medicine specialty will be good with extremities. I will see if I can find someone to refer you to.
  2. Is the femur actually shorter ie was it broken at some point? this would be an anotomical short leg. If its a functional short leg it is caused by torsion in the pelvis and is easily fixed by a good chiropractor. A lift should only be worn if its after a new break healed etc. a long term anatomical short leg is already compensated for in your spine and the lift will cause more pain. It is most likely (by your brief description) a posterior inferior illium on the short leg side. easily fixed and no changing of your gear or set up.
  3. Say where is jack anyway????? didn't we kick off the season with this same ad last year?

  7. NEVER PUT HEAT ON YOUR SPINE It feels great but you pay later. USE ICE 15-20 minutes at a time as often as you like but let it warm up in between. Heat increases swellin around the nerve root which puts more pressure on the nerve making you feel more pain etc. heat is great on muscles but keep it away from you spine during acute phase of any injury. that means if it hurts don't put heat on it. let me know how it goes and keep up the chiro care. I see an average of 6-8 visits for pain relief and usually in the 30 - 40 visit range for long term stability at your age. IF you don't want it to come back stick with it long after it feels better. He should wean you off slowly rather than stopping cold turkey as well.

I cut a sheet of birch ply into 6" strips and laminated them together with titebond III I then cut the basic shape of the spar out with the laminations running vertically. I routed sanded shaped ettc and then fiberglassed a sheet of triaxial carbon snowboard fabirc into the top (see stripes) I inlayed aluminum plates for truck mounting and set it up with randalls I have an aluminum sheet seat pan in progress with a piece of tubing to be both handles and calf rest. screw in inserts in spar to mount seat pan and calf rest (see Pics)

    Hunting

duck seasons in full swing here. I got 2 redheads and a pintail thursday. I got skinked this morning though. They are letting water out of the lake so after a 20 minute ride down river I arrived to find my spot to shallow to get the boat into:angryfire I had to anchor out in the open on the flats. Not much action there. I have seen some nice bulls coming in from bow season this year. It seems they are all down low already do to wolf pressure and or drought conditions in the hi country? I will be heading up in November to try my luck. IDaho Border country nez perce pass. :biggthump

    Wheel Size

I love my Big zigs but they do require a serious wheel well cutout :D
  15. you need to have clearance and control period. The right angle is whichever one puts your heels and toes on the edges without overhang. higher angles can be done but you will burn out the back leg faster and sacrifice control at lower speeds. lower angles will lead to over steering and boot out. So the answer is that it is different for every board you ride.:D
  16. IMHO its a stance related issue. I often throw on the softies when my quads get to burnt to ride safely. Its like putting on a new set of legs. Different muscles with different stances. I imagine it would work if you changed your hard setup angles during the day as well.
  17. The missions got dumped on yesterday all day long. I haven't checked the cameras on BIG yet but they should have some as well:biggthump
  18. they are sure blasting the airwaves and eworld with loving notes from the marketing dept. they should be up to speed soon as the big pass sale ends september 30. 400 bucks for a season pass. might be worth it from calgary if you made more than one trip down.
  19. I have left three messages this week. the last one promising to register a huge group for a massive length of time. no one answers or calls back. I need to go get my season pass soon so maybe I will drive up there and sit on someones desk until I get a response.
  20. geez I am obviously not trying hard enough. either that or I really am bullet proof:biggthump No injuries worth telling since I started in 1986. I wear a helmet and full armor now though. the only ouch days have involved getting run over by a mentally deficient straightlining skier. or poorly fitted boots:D
