I missed just over ten years of snowboarding chasing a sheepskin or three. in retrospect not sure it was worth it:eplus2: I did learn this though! You couldn't pay me enough money to ever live in the south again:eek: Sorry Mellow nuthin personal its just to damned flat and to damned hot!
  2. LOL Now you've let the cat out of the bag and ruined their self esteem forever! LOL That wasn't a HIPPA violation was it?
  3. LOL well you let me get away with it the first two times. I tell you what, I have an extra binding for parts what do you need besides the center disc? I would be happy to help you get a functional set together to sell. there are lots of newbs out there that need the gear. I am selling my good set and won't need the parts binding so the center disc is yours as a peace offering.
  4. I still have a good set as well. all the hardware present.
  5. I guess I am an average liar:lol:
  6. +1:lol::lol::lol::lol: Its really hard to remember that you are missing all the body language cues etc in a normal conversation. I personally believe that we all hear what we want to hear especially on the internet when we can't see the other guy laughing. I know that I have posted in jest while laughing my ass off and had some sensitive soul think I was ready to come through the monitor and choke them. We are all here for fun and info and the brotherhood of the carve. you will be missed bordy mostly because by leaving you take your view of the world with you and when average joe forms his impression of the BOL world your viewpoint will no longer be there to balance the asstrolls. suck it up big dog YODA would never quit!
  7. there's supposed to be some new chuckie Barfoot models out in the next year. I saw a prototype this year. strange new oldschool breed of powder board looked tasty:lurk:
  8. 38 days where I rode until my legs were jello. most of them were 5 hours or so days. the mountain is only open 6 1/2:freak3:
  9. Ended with 38 days and just under a half a million feet. We had two hardbooters over 2 million feet with Johnasmo at 3.4 million for the year.
  10. PUSSY!!!!!! Why if I wasn't injured I'd show you how a real man takes a bath!:lol::lol::lol::lol:
  11. LOL I am sure its an opportunity to work on my Empathy skills.:p I will look up a SHAMAN and get a second opinion:lol:
  12. Had a great day thursday every thing was wonderful. Got home and did a little work on my new office. Had massive pain (nearly passed out) :barf:and went down to my knees while moving some light boxes. Xray this AM confirms a compression fracture in my thoracic spine.:( So the pond skim is out. I guess the crash I had on saturday did more damage than I thought.
  13. I found out this morning that my season ended with a bang literally. I had a serious wreck on saturday that didn't hurt much at the time. Last night I was moving some boxes in storage and went to my knees and nearly passed out. Turns out I have a compression fracture of my 7th Thoracic vertabrae. I guess the last hurah and the pond skimming on Saturday is out now.:( Good news is I can still work and since we are moving to a new facility someone else will have to do all the heavy lifting:D
  14. ???????????????????? are we talking post king ?
  15. I spent the whole day sunday in the grey wolf chutes on the back side and never ran out of snow even in the narrowest chutes. They blew them before they opened and it just made a spectacular runout into easily 6 ft of rolled up fluff. My gut still hurts from the laughing and hooting and I think my teeth are froze:eplus2: we had another 8 inches sunday morning and it snowed lightly all day and is still snowing this morning. what a year
  16. ITs still snowing OMG hip deep january powder. Damn my legs hurt! Good thing I have to work today or walking would become a challenge. keep sending it my way steve. I have frozen all of my teeth, destroyed my quads, lost all sense of reality, and my ribs hurt from laughing so much. 30 inch weekend and still snowing:biggthump and here's the sobering thought. They close in a week.:smashfrea:smashfrea I guess we'll be hiking again this year.
  17. ITS SNOWING like I have never seen it snow. we started the day with over a foot of fresh light january champaigne and it DUMPED all day. my last run was down the back nine in Hellroaring basin and I was pushing chest deep powder in the trees. I don't know what happened exactly but it definitely wasn't a whimper:D Oh yeah and its supposed to happen again tonite:biggthump
  18. I never thought I would say this but I think we got too much snow:eek: 18 inches on the back side at the opening bell and it dumped all day. I was in chest deep powder in Hellroaring basin. The flatter areas on the backside were impassable due to the heavy snow people were hiking out to the chair everywhere. The rest of the mountain was EPIC and on march 29:ices_ange how'd you guys fair?

  20. Dumped all day on the BIG yesterday as well! WE finished the day with around a foot. GOD love ME:ices_ange
  21. I would have to guess then that they are soft supportive custom molded to fit your foot without any corrective changes other than pronation/supination wedging. this would be quite common and completely adequate for your purposes (ie comfort)
  22. I will be on the mtn all day tomorrow and saturday!:D gotta work friday:( come on up you can check out the 173:biggthump
  23. I suspect we aren't talking oranges and oranges here. there is a difference between what I would prescribe for correction in a normal shoe and what I would prescribe for a ski boot. I don't use the hard fiberglass ones for anything. I don't put much correction in a bed to be used for skiing. I use a harder grade foam for ski orthotics than I would for regular corrective orthotics. they still move but are more supportive and handle the G's better.
  24. I am sure that in general the footbed will last longer than your feet do particulary in a relatively low use item like a ski or snowboard boot. Your feet do change with time and experience. weight gain or loss can especially effect them. skatha, A hard orthotic should last indefinetly but its a good idea to get rechecked every two years or so. Personally I don't like to see people in hard orthotics. They support the arches well but they don't allow the arches to move dynamically with the body. THe arches need to move and flex in order to properly support the pelvis and spine. The one area where I would wear a harder orthotic is skiing and snowboarding. The motion dynamic in the foot is different and the Gforces make a soft orthotic uncomfortable. Any time you injure your foot would also be a time to get them checked once you heal up:biggthump
