  1. They are talking about binding cant I believe. Boot adjustments should only be used to adjust for physical properties of the user ie. bow-legged or similar. Binding cant is a different thing.
  2. Bruce, I have rather wide boards. I ride 57 front, 54 rear, with about 20" stance. no cants.
  3. I don't follow racing. I follow board design, they are race influenced......
  4. MUD

    no snow

Our "resorts" are usually open buy Thanksgiving, Halloween even. So far, nothing. We have been warm and BEAUTIFUL!!!! In short, you won't hear me complaining. Gives me more time on the moto.
  5. When I used to ride the pipe alot, we would snag a shovel(s) from the lifties and groom the pipe. Those of us that did it had passes and if you did it really good early in the season, it didn't take a whole lot of time to keep it good. I just don't see kids willing to put in that kind of effort to do ANYTHING these days. It does not surprise me that it is dying. Personally I think it requires more skill than the park and kids just don't want to experience the learning curve.
  6. Well, There you go. That's what I get for making a generalization. ;)

  8. I think some of the companies are using an additive to the plastic to inhibit microbial growth. I don't know if it's microban, but it is something like it. If you run the water through a filtering system it will pull out the chlorine and when you put it into your not clean bladder, the microbes go nuts. Doesn't take long to get slimy, get cloudy or show spots. The big problem is that unless you use a 10% bleach solution or something like that, you really can't get them CLEAN. Kind of like brewing, I think. The water itself is not attacking the plastic. Even DI water doesn't have an effect on plastics.
  9. It pulls all the chlorine out and makes it easier for crap to grow in it.....
  10. Apex http://www.apex-snowboards.com/ I don't know of any others for sure.
  11. Billy, would you PLEASE lend Jack some F2's so he can try them???? Maybe I will........
  12. Interesting. I would think they would not work very well. VERY cool if they do. I love it when people do stuff that should not work and it does.
  13. Thank you! Great reply! This is all I was looking for. Your first posts about this were a little too general.
  14. I was talking about thetruth's comments, not yours. Sorry for the confusion.
  15. I'm not arguing that you don't need to be careful with them.... You made two very significant claims. That could cause people to second guess their doctor after an injury without showing any proof of it. If it is "common knowledge" you should not have any problem find a quick source to back your claim. And yes, it is YOUR claim, until you prove otherwise.
  16. I think we are doomed to a bad season around here.... I bought a season pass AND a set of studded tires for my dirt bike..... All in all about $1000. The only thing worse I could have done is buy a snowmobile...... Sorry.:(
  17. If you are going to make these claims. You really should include some references.
  18. I would have purchased them about two weeks ago if they had them. I picked up F2's instead. With that said, since I now have new bindings, I bet the SW's come out pretty quick...... I have that kind of luck. Even if they came out soon, I will now be waiting a few years.
  19. Sorry Sean, My "possibly 31" got turned into the spec.... I should have been more clear and explained it would be more complicated than that.
  20. Sounds like you will love them. And if not, they have a great resale value.
  21. I think with bindings it comes down to what you like for flex..... I personally LOVE Burtons but with me now riding a metal board and weighing around 200lbs, they make me nervous (tend to ride nastier terrain now, was afraid of braking them). I was torn between the F2's and the "sidewinders" Since the Sidewinders only exist for racers so far, I got tired of waiting and got F2's. Snow is close. I find TD3's too stiff, especially the step-in's.... You could even say WAY too stiff.
  22. Is it a good article? Worth picking up????
  23. You guys do seem to be stalking each other.......
