Here is my take on it. I have only playing with it for about a day or so though. It is kind of like the mail. Sure there is alot of junk, but I don't read that. I get my motorcycle magazines and cool catalogs toss the rest. You don't know what is out there until you look. Unlike skate, I have yet to find "value" in it, just more information.

Here I have a set of FR1's. They have the upgraded straps and two sets of toe plates (large and medium). I also have a bolt kit as well. These are great bindings just to stiff for me. $200 shipped CONUS

As far as the "blogging" goes. Why? What purpose does it truly serve? I am actually curious. All the ones I have seen have been pure dribble.

I am good for whatever, but the areas close around -20 around here. They don't bother to open for the 3 or 4 people that would show up.

All of the above. I mix it up, the board behaves differently if you pre-rotate or not or how much. I just play around.

They have come a long way. The boots are much better, stiff or soft, they have better liner designs and lacing options. Bindings are much tougher and run from super soft up to really stiff (catek)....... As long as you are not expecting hardboot performance you will be pleased with the progress that has been made.

I still love softies. I don't like them stiff, and run relaxed angles. If it wasn't for another purchase I did this fall, I would have a Donek Saber and would be lovin' every minute of it! Don't be afraid to embrace your soft side.....

I did board only, I see the bindings as a separate purchase because I only have one set and the boards share them. (and because I voted before this was part of the "price") -
I don't, but as more people get on their new boards that Bruce and Sean have made for them this year, you will see more up for sale.

I don't know if this has been mentioned, I have lost track with all the drama. If it wasn't for the used board market, I would not have the boards I do. I couldn't afford a brand new board so I sold and added a couple hundred and bought better used. and then did it again and so on. Now I have what I have......

Pre-made. They are expensive but last for years. DIY just can't hold up to the power of the bikes, you lose spikes every ride.

Carving gap between skiers and alpine snowboarders closing

Come to the hill that Lindsay learned on (Buckhill), it is our local Sunday carving hill, you will see some INCREDIBLE skiers. It is fun to try (and I do mean try) and follow their rails down the hill. -
Here is more "balance". My question is with all the deaths from the flu each year, what strain kills how many people? H1N1 is a specific strain, lumping all the rest (9 strains as far as I can tell) under "the flu" is not very scientific. The other thing you NEED to look at is the age groups effected. "The flu" typically effects who? H1N1 effects who? Those who have young kids know why I ask this question.
