They are all designed for all-mountain riding. But it all depends on what your main focus and conditions will be. The Blunt Diamond has the most taper and setback and will be a better choice for deep pow in tight trees. The Diamond Blade is for groomers with occasional pow days. The Hammerhead is the Blunt's big brother: a bit less taper and setback, more speed, more stability, more float, more edge hold. The Lifer has something from all of them. Yes, although it is long it turns quick yet has great stability at speed. I did find it a bit much at the bottom of Heather Canyon's exit yesterday. SnowFerret Posted March 6, 2018 Author Report Share Posted March 6, 2018 So, I ended up acquiring an old Virus Avalanche as my all-mountain board. Not exactly what I had set out to find originally, but I'm not complaining. I've only got one day on it so far but man does this thing rip. Sooooo much pop when transitioning from edge to edge and for launching over rollers and chop. I would love to put a few more days on it this year. 2012Alpine1 Posted March 16, 2018 Report Share Posted March 16, 2018 Can't go wrong w/ a 164 Winterstick Severe Terrain. My go to for woods (tight trees) after the dump and steep bumps . RobertAlexander Posted March 17, 2018 Report Share Posted March 17, 2018 (edited) I got this board yesterday, Coiler AM 176T 7.2 + 4, 21.5 waist , approx. 12 scr. average Am used to 17 or 18 cm waist, with 70/70 angles. Can go as low as 65/65 maybe 60/60 for a 21.5 waist. Also maybe should of put this in the All mt board thread.
