st_lupo
I'll move this over here from the hard-boot community forum. Sounds like the snow in Utah is still good and I have a slight chance that I might have a slight chance to go boarding next week while travelling through Ogden. What is a good area for carving around Ogden, is there any place that has a capable instructor? Are there any places that rent alpine boards/boots or should I bring my own? Thanks! digger jr
Snowbasin or Powder Mountain is closest. You'd have to talk to the Northern Wasatch riders about specifics. I've got a board and bindings you can borrow, but I'm in slc, about 45min from Ogden. No rentals around that I know about. What days would you possibly ride. It got pretty warm today, but may be ok again Wed-Thurs. Ron Edited April 3, 2016 by digger jr
boardguru
Powder Mountain is less crowded. Snowbasin has steeper terrain. No hardboot instructors at either resort though. If you have your own boots I have a board you could borrow, 171 Kessler, and boots if you wear either 28 or 29 mondo. I live in Layton about 30 minutes from Snowbasin and 50 minutes from Powder Mountain. Mick
