Algunderfoot
I was able to book a King room at the Inn at Aspen for $202 / night for the duration of SES 2015, includes free parking & breakfast, through Priceline. This is a 3 Star Wyndham property, literally footsteps away from the base of Buttermilk and RFTA Whistle stops.
John E
Al - did you strictly use Priceline for this deal? Did this appear to be the best deal in Aspen for those dates? The Inn at Aspen's website shows the same room for $239/night (so it looks like Priceline is the way to go).

I didn't see that cheap a rate when I went direct to the Inn's website, so maybe I didn't get the greatest deal I could have, but $202 for that location seemed very reasonable and couldn't be better situated. Priceline was all I used.
Keenan
I used the VRBO site last year and got a studio condo with a kitchen, for about $150 a night. It was about a block from city market (I think that's the name of the grocery store) and about 4 blocks from the base of Aspen/bus lines.
